Growth Differential

Same strain, same soil, same lighting (the sun), same size pot, sprouted and transplanted same day, same nutrients and watering pattern. Why the vast difference in development?

genetics, just because it is the same strain, does not mean that the expression will be the same.

Yep I agreed totally! Just look at their "genealogy tree" Well you know what I mean. There are so fucking cross between different types It's hard to keep track lolll

Every time I grow I have multiples of each strain. Very rarely do they all look/grow the same. There's always one or two oddball in the group. Like mentioned above it boils down to genetics.

Good points all. I've probably got 5-6 weeks tops before normal first freeze here. I'm pretty concerned about the first plant having time to finish. Anybody have any suggestions?

Just make sure they get as much sun as possible. Move them around through out the day so they are not sitting in the shade.

Strain vs Hybrid, strains take years to develop and work out the different phenos to become stable. What we get from the suppliers are mostly Hybrids (not much better than bag seed), these will produce numbers of different looking, smelling, tasting plants. They can have different finish times as well. One of my hybrid lines showed 2 plants very indica, and another very sativa in looks. Unfortunately, the bugs liked the sativa one.
IF you can cover them for the rain tonight, my knee hurts, its coming this time, maybe not much, or move them inside. If not give them a gentle shake in the morning, dry air is coming.

This one is in the ground, not a pot. Rain chances are a lot better in your part of the state than mine. I'm actually hoping it holds off here, but I'll see if I can find something to cover it as it's not a huge plant. I have an old timer buddy of mine who uses a leaf blower (from a distance) to get moisture off his plants. Not too sure I'd try that, even if the principle is fairly sound.

Glad to hear this and other posts saying similar things. I have 3 plants like the OP that are all different, the are Gorilla Glue fem autos and aside from their shape and height differences only the sativa shaped one is even in "pre-flower, with no buds even beginning to form. All 3 sprouted July 28 and were moved to 6" pots Aug. 4. Aug 9 second real leaves began, Aug. 25 moved to 3 gal. fabric pots. one went verticle, the other 2 went bushy. I'm not sure they're autos, if you're keeping score, that's over 8 weeks! I actually hope they are not auto as I would like to clone them

It's in the high 60's here at 11 am with a fairly gusty north wind and about 45% humidity. I could stand about a month of this right now.
