HELP! Growing problem or problems

New member
Hello everyone 👋 I am new to this forum.
I have been trying to grow indoor cannabis for almost 4 years and failure is what i harvest , lol .
I don’t know how to start but here it goes. Currently my grow media is Coco Loco. I clone well with it also.
plant food for veg and bloom is Dutch Science. I use tap water & the ph is 8.1 - 8.0. I use the crystals which look like salt or sugar to lower the ph .
Bought a Apera ph pen. Bought a mars hydro fc-6500 light.
The plants look and grow well . The problem seems to be the bloom phase. The flowers start to smell good around 30-35 days into bloom then suddenly no more smell . Lower leaves start turning yellow one by one . By the time the plants should be ready, they haven’t grown much more since the 35 day mark .
Mots advice I have gotten was from grow shops around here. Every one of them has closed making getting the supplies I need more difficult.
Good solid advice is what I need . Looking forward to getting just that !
I apologize if i started this issue incorrectly .

Yellowing lower leaves during flower is pretty normal.
What about your grows makes you consider them failures other than the buds not growing enough after the first month?

Got any pictures?

It may be too hot or cold.

It may be crap genetics.

But it sounds like you are somehow stressing them and that is stopping flower development.

No idea unless you give us all the info related to environment, lighting intensity, amount of nutes, pH inputs etc..

And pics

Maybe over watering. Sounds like day 30-35 with yellowing leaves ? And no smell. I'm thinking u have less nitrogen than u need at that point in flower. Pics and watering schedule would help us diagnose

We would love to opine and provide the wisdom of the ages to acolytes such as yourself. However to reap the opinions and views of the great masters, you need to prove yourself by undertaking a quest and delivering to us the following items:

Pictures and details illuminating your issue
A complete list to your nutrients, amendments and how much and often you use them.
Temperatures and humidity
Height of light above your canopy as well as intensity

You seem to have a decent light and PH meter.
Get rid of the "crystals" and just use PH up and down. Its no different and easier to quantify.

I only use Coco Loco for my grow media.
i was told it was good to use from a former local grow store.
the temperature in grow room is 75 -71 degrees with 50 % - 55% humidity. I only use Dutch Science nutrients, veg and bloom. I need to lower the ph from 8.1 to 6.5.
The ph of 6.5 was information from the grow store.
The light is roughly 17 inches from the top of plant.
the plant in the picture is two days shy of one month.
water temperature at watering is 70 - 72 degrees.
The harvest is a fail because the taste is garbage, just a lil hint of a buzz. The flowers are thin and small.
i have gotten seeds from ILGM & True north seed bank.

Do you mean two days shy of one month since flipping to flower? Are they auto or feminized? How many grows under your belt?
Other than your pH being too high for growing in coco, it looks like you are on your way to fine looking dope.
Anything you take and smoke from your plant at this point is going to be a fail because the plant is too young. Unless you dry yourself some well trichomed flowers, you really don't know what's going on.

Not familiar with the Dutch nutrients but your other equipment and media is on point. How often do you feed and/or water? How do you judge when they are dry? How big are your containers and how much water do you give them? I haven't grown in Coco but I understand it dries out more quickly than soil.
I look forward to seeing how these grow and develop (or don't!) and the advice the expert growers on here offer you, so show us more pictures in the coming weeks.
As for the taste, tell us about your drying and curing practices.

Don't smoke them yet! They have lots of growing to do.

Only measure your pH inputs and if you have been feeding them at 8 or more drop it to 5.8 to 6 for a couple of feeds to get the coco back to its normal pH levels then assess and likely increase it a little and continue to vary it a bit, say 5.9 to 6.4. The leaves will tell you.

How often are you watering them and what size pots?

The new growth looks quite good except for nute burn creeping in on the tips and down the sides of the newer leaves so reduce your nute strength maybe 5 to 10%.

They have like 4 or 5 weeks (I'm guessing here) to go till ready for harvest

While I may be missing something, I see a lot of PH issues. Your flowers look fine but are about 5 weeks out. In Coco, I try to keep my PH at 6.4; a lot of people go lower. Give some cal mag and cut your nutes to 60/70% The taste is garbage because the plants aren't close to ripe and have a very low THC content at this point. Be patient, you want to will them into ripening but trust me, they don't listen. In six weeks you will be quite happy.

Thank you for commenting and for the advice.. I currently don’t use cal mag . It there a brand name that you would recommend ?

Thank you for replying. I ph the water and food to 6.5. The plant in the pic is in a 5 gallon cloth pot. I will lower nutrition. Do you think need to know the ppm of my tap water ? Some at the former grow store mentioned that I should know the ppm . Is this true ? I water them right when the leaves start to droop .

Thank you for replying .
I feed every other watering . I water just when the leaves start to droop . The pic is in a 5 gallon cloth pot. How’ much water / food i give is to just have some come out of the bottom . Is there a plant food that you would recommend ?
I will definitely post more pictures .

Thank you for replying
I stand corrected , the plant in the picture is one month old today, 1-20-25. The seeds were regular, I bought 10 GG4 from Canuck Seeds. 6 males , 4 females.
Ok, my ph is high ? What do you recommend the ph be ? I believe the seeds are 55 - 65 days to maturity.
