Growing outdoors in.Caribbean

I'm growing outdoors in.the Caribbean. Is it best to use auto flowering or photo period seeds? I am a beginner.

For a beginner I suggest photo period, auto flowers can be a problem for new growers

The only conditions I can think of its better to grow an autoflower is if you have some major light leaks and I am not talking about pin holes in a tent in a room with flood lights. I am not what you would call a fan of autoflowers

Photo period plants can give so much more big fat buds, I grow autos from time to time. 1-6 quarts vs 30+ quarts.

From memory I think Mr Bob Marleys favourite strain was lambs breath,. Might be good for growing in the Caribbean... :tongue-out:

i started with auto's and have tranplanted them, fim'd them accidently, topped 'em, dropped 'em, froze 'em and drowned them. the yeild is the big diff. autos arent hard. one thing you should do is get feminized seeds so you dont have to sex them on yer 1st grow

If you’re near the equator you should consider how much daylight you have. If I’m not mistaken you’ll have approximately 12/12 all the time. I’m not sure how photos will work if you have shorter days. I suppose they will act a bit like autos as they will flower as soon as they mature with a 12 hour day.
definitely look for tropical strains

The longest days being around 13 hours and the shortest around 11. This means the sun rises around 6 am and sets around 6 pm,
