Growing in Adverse Weather....in Pics

As everyone knows from this site, outdoor growers not only have to battle the Law, snakes, spiders, cougars, coyotes, flies, bears, gators and Bigfoot but also new threats like Dogging, etc ( alltatup Don`t ask me to explain Dogging. I don`t know if you have it over there but it`s rife around here. I honestly don`t know where they get the energy. Have to wander carefully around certain areas here otherwise you`re in for a bit of a eye opener to put it mildly. When someone sees a moon it`s not always in the sky I tell you!). Now, if this isn`t enough, some of you guys have been talking about some of the weather conditions that have made growing indoors or outside more....entertaining. For me, it`s been the heat but I live in a part of the country that makes outdoor grows in woods say, difficult.
I have placed 2 pics here to show the average fun packed view I regularly get from my window and which stops me from growing in my mate`s woods nearby, sadly. This was at 1 in the afternoon.
Do any of you have pics of plants in interesting weather growing conditions you`d like to share

Sorry mate out here its the opposite. You can damn near grow outdoors in the winter. Right now its like the Mediterranean here. Hot days and cool nights. At times some humidity as we are in a delta, but the breeze mitigates it.

I'm growing a pineapple and guava trees. Pomegranate and citrus also. Not trying to rub it in, just counting my blessings.
 
There are a few local olive oil producers who grow and press olives minutes from me. Most olive oil sold at the grocery store is rancid(and I'm not talking about Armstrong and Freeman), but I didn't believe it until I tasted good, fresh olive oil.

Back to changing my water pump. Sunny 72°f 54%rh

Growing outdoors is going to become a much riskier business in many places because of global warming. So I see indoor growing technology as a very good thing, especially if we have access to solar and wind power. Anything to keep down the carbon footprint; that's the right karma.
 
alltatup I read a report that predicted global warming and rising sea levels will mean the North & Scotland will become the new Champagne growing areas....personally I prefer cider. Growing in scenary like this would be alright. Been here. I thought it was better than Stonehenge myself (Wasn`t taken with Stonehenge. Bit like the Mona Lisa-when you see it it`s smaller than you think it would be. Mind you, just lugging those stones for Stonehenge wouldn`t be up there in my bucket list that`s for sure, druids or no bloody druids) but you have to see it in it`s setting. Very nice....if you like this kinda thing...I think having a nice house in the sticks near an old circle or few stones like this with a nice grow going indoors and a quiet one outside would be sweat. Solar panels and a small wind turbine and small well...that would suit me. Not having to deal with anybody, going hermit...I`m almost there but that would be the location...need to find a cave me thinks

alltatup I was doing some work up that neck of the woods right and me and this lad Big Jim who was like a standing stone himself and moved about as fast, went there. It was alright. I liked it. But it is a very wet, windy, snow swept and barren neck of the woods in winter. Definitely want the old goose fat rubbed onto your knees that`s for sure though I think some people have used lard but I might have dreamt that lard bit. If you swim the English Channel they coat you in goose fat to keep you warm and act as a barrier...not that I`m expecting you to swim the Channel when there`s ferries and such but you never know
 
D.A.A.S.69 Tis a nice neck of the woods around there mate. We ended up there but we had been trying to find this field which had a temple (Roman) in it. Didn`t, stumbled upon 3 standing stones near the road then that kinda led us to there. It was empty when we were there. I didn`t see any UFO`s, we didn`t have any dowsing rods and I wasn`t swallowed into a gravitational vortex either. Pretty much a non event and it was chilly with a rather evil nip in the air if I remember rightly. Nice though. I`ve got a few near me. There`s one near Shepton Mallet that`s cool.
 
PaganRich, cool man, if I lived over there, where you are, we would be visiting those places everyday, I love exploring that kind of stuff, but I'd have a metal detector with me.
We don't have any of those kinds of places over here, where we live, just alot of Civil War, battle sites.
But I know a guy that at least 40years ago found a Yankee Cavalry officers ,belt buckle, that was worth a bunch of bucks, with a metal detector.
 
D.A.A.S.69 Familiarity breeds comtempt my friend. Pardon the pun but it gets old real quick. Now weapons, edged weapons, that never gets old. Also, finding musket balls would just be awesome. I mean, it was lads like us who fired those. Could have been us in a past life even. Karmic shit and all that. You never know, we might have been plugging away at each other actross the water and here we are, nattering away as mates. Mind you, I`d have to learn how to chew tobacco. Have you ever tried snuff. Now there`s a joyride of fun if you like sneezing for dear life whilst clenching so that you don`t shit yourself. If you can get past that then snuff`s a goer. Problem is that when you blow your nose your hankerchief is full of black snot. Not really selling this to you, am i? I`m off. Later mate. Stay mellow
 
Finding that Civil War stuff is fun, them maxi an mini balls ,are everywhere.
I got a big ole dip of Grizzly in my lip right now, don't smoke ciggies. Don't like the smell of them either. Lol

D.A.A.S.69 Role reversal...a grizzly is a bear so what is a big ole dip of grizzly? First one mate, first one. We`ve got this smuggled Balkan smokes floating around at the moment. Man alive but they smell bad. Don`t smoke now but like you prob, have off and on but not now. I`d love to collect that shit, those maxi and mini balls. What`s the difference, mate?
 
D.A.A.S.69 A Grizzly would be thought of meaning a Growler here, possibly. You get the gist?. Hopefully you don`t know that word over there as I don`t want a certain lass breaking my balls over that (Though if she does read this she is a wonderful and endearing person). Don`t reckon she`d buy that for a minute but worth a try.
 
Grizzly is the name brand of snuff that I dip. It ain't but 2bucks a can, that Skoal brand is about 4bucks a can. Winter green flavor.
There is a big difference in those hunks of lead, one is smooth, and one has rifling, for accuracy, They both are Very deadly.
Some are round balls, some are oblong.
But they are easy to find on the river when the water is low.
Your countryside is so beautiful though, very peaceful looking for such a place with so much violence, back in the day.
