Growing high CBD cannabis

Anybody have any experience growing Nirvana's CBD Kush? I have 2 distinct phenotypes. One has tight buds, and the other's buds are like feather dusters. They both stretched over 200% and kept growing just a little after the "stretch". Anybody have any ideas? They are both in the 11th week after flip to 12/12. Any ideas? This strain is supposed to have 1:1 cbd to thc, so I don't want to screw it up.

Don't have pics.....my grow area is 2'x4', and the 2 plants are over 6' tall, which fills up the space completely. Both were manifold trained in DWC. I'm unsure because the one with the tight nugs is still putting out white hairs at the top of the cola. The one with airy buds is doing the same thing. Usually buds ripen from the top down, but these seem to be doing the opposite. Anyone heard of this?

Are the parts at the buds that are putting out new pistils the ones closest to the light? It's possible they're getting a little light burn, which can cause the plant to grow brand new buds in places that are getting damaged. Could that possibly be it?

Shoot, kinda sounds like my situation!

Yes, the new pistils are near the lights, but according to my light meter and my hands, the light is not too close.

Are the buds with the new white pistils kind of getting bigger, but with an odd shape? Like this:

Sometime you'll see growth in spires/towers on the side closest to the light

One of the best ways to know for sure it's heat or light stress is if it's only happening on the buds closest to the lights.

Yes, to both. There are 2 phenos, and they present like the 2 pics you posted. One had the tight buds. I harvested that one , but lost the top 4" to bud rot or mold at the center of the colas. The other pheno's buds look exactly like the 2nd pic, and are airy. I checked the light and it was not excessive. Temps this time of year do not exceed 80F. Could the airyness be a trait of that particular pheno? The entire plant has the same bud structure as the 2nd photo, top and bottom.
They both were manifolded, and grew quite robustly, with 2'+ colas. I worried too much about the grow because it was the first time I'd grown this strain, and it got way out of hand insofar as the height. The both of them grew more than 3 times their flip height. Something else I had never encountered. We'll see what the next 2 weeks hold. The airy buds seem to be getting fatter/heavier, and I reshuffled everything so there can't be any stress on the ladies. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Thanks for your attention to my concerns, NebulaHaze.
