Growing and drying at the same time question

So I have one tent that I am growing in and planned on drying in that same tent. Just dawning on me that not every plant will harvest at the same time. What does everyone do? Just have another tent? Dry in a cardboard box? Seems risky. Suggestions? I seen to be lacking the common sense needed to come up with the best solution.
 
Drying weed properly is probably more important than how it's grown. It's easy to stuff your weed entirely by Drying it too fast.

Work out where & how to dry it by putting a temp & himidity sensor in the space and monitor it to see if you can get the right environment.

I use a large basement to dry mine. 4 days ago when I started Drying it it was 16⁰C & 58% humidity, almost perfect conditions. Now it's 19⁰C & 60% RH with a small dehumidifier running flat out. Without it it would still be 16⁹C but closer to 90%RH and the buds would be molding up now.
 
Bluey how long did it typically take to dry? I've heard quick as three days and long as two weeks. I'm sure the answer is it depends on the plant. I'm growing gorilla glue #4 auto and they are super sticky so I assume they might take a bit longer than the norm to dry. My first grow, obviously, and just trying to prepare what I'm going to do to dry. Thought about buying another tent but would I need another exhaust system? 🤔 Or just fans for indirect air circulation and dehumidifier/humidifier and hygrometer?
 
It depends how you choose to dry it.

Whole plant takes longer than buds on a rack given the same environment but you should dry according to the conditions you have. Try to aim for a minimum 7 days. Some say 7 is perfect, I prefer a little longer.

Large buds on an indoor grow at 18⁰C 60% RH wet trimmed & left on a large branch hung upside down will take between 7 and 10 days to dry depending on its starting moisture content and air movement. You want the least amount of air movement also, just enough to see minor very grntle movement of the hanging branches...and dry in the dark because that's just how I have always done it...not sure if there is science behind that or not.
 
Dry in darkness. Light degrades THC. A closet will work. I've done it. Only thing to worry about is the smell.

I dry in a tent using the exhaust fan on a low setting to just barely move the air. Drying in the tent with wet trimmed buds left on branches takes about 7 days. I just dried a whole plant. Hung it upside down in a tent, Took about 2 weeks to dry.
 
Do I just need air movement or fresh air pumped in? Both? I'll go back reread the gwe article as well but also wondering what people are actually doing.
 
I use a spare room with a ceiling fan on low, temp is 66-70*F 55-60% RH (high as I can keep it for now) plants are pulled before sunup and hung roots and all upside down 7-10 days then jarred and burped for 21 days then sealed and watched/checked. Some will be ready in a few weeks, others months (6 or even more). Kept in a dark room with my home made wines, I have some thats 4 YO.
 
Air movement. Maintain humidity at 60% if you can and temps between 16⁰C and 20⁰C
 
I’ve done the cardboard box deal in a pinch when my extra tent is occupied. Cover it with an old shirt or towel and “burp” it a few times a day. I leave the box in the lung next to the tent.
