Grow Tent Setup (Light & Air Flow)

Hi All, doing my first grow in a 3x3 tent. just wondering how you control light when having to leave the bottom vent open for air intake so exhaust fan can stay on 24x7. Is my only option to shut the vent and the fan during dark cycle?

Imo a little bit of vacuum wont hurt. My tent is completely sucked in tight when my exhaust is running. You can just close the flap at night you should be good. Little less airflow is better than light leaks I would say.

I use flexible ducting through one of the ports with drawstrings and do a series of bends. You can loosely cover the end with something to block light. Hope this helps

I get sheets of cut to fit carbon filter double it up cut it to fit over the vents sew some Velcro onto it stick it to the vents light won't get in. And it filters the incoming air.

that's a great idea. how many grows have you used this?

3 photo grows so far tent is in my bedroom so the room lights are on alot during dark
