Grow Tent Equipment - Who's the Best?

Hello!

When starting, I did quite a bit of research and ended up going with Spider Farmer for my grow tent & all equipment. I liked the idea of having data points synced to an app and I felt like they were beginner grower friendly with the equipment / app synchronization etc...

I'll let you know how I feel in the comments later regarding SF - but right now, I would love to see what kits you guys run and what led you to the purchase...as well as your experience with the equipment/tools. What features do you like and which do you hate?

I started off with Gorilla Grow tents. I've stuck with them. My first setups were the Gorilla tent and other equipment by various manufacturers. I started off with HLG lamps and have stuck with them. Somewhere along the way I tried an AC Infinity product. I've switched the tent ventilation components completely to ACI. I also use their controller and humidifier. I use a BlueLab PH controller and pen and an EC pen. I started off with Hannah and switched to BlueLAb a while ago. I learned with grow equipment it's best to invest for the long term just to keep from replacing cheaply made components.

Thanks for the comment. I originally was looking at the Gorilla tent to start off, but I just didn't know what I know now about what equipment I needed. I've seen people do pullups off their Gorilla tents lol...Kind of insane the quality on those.

I've not heard of Blue lab. I'll look into that.

I use SF lights, vivosun exhaust fan, lots of cheap amazon circulation fans, and a fleabay 5x5 tent. Don't skimp on the lights. Imo the tent and fans are a place that you can cheap out on. Seven years on my fleabay tents and still good. Spend your money on the light.

I bought an all-in-one "smart" grow tent kit on Amazon from Mars Hydro for about $450. It is a 2x4 tent with a 300W Mars Hydro TSL2000 LED. My first grow went bad due to obvious beginner mistakes that a single Google search would have solved... But my second grow went pretty well.

I like how the buds came out. They were big and great to smoke, however there weren't enough of them. I realized I didn't let my plants get big enough before initiating 12/12. There just wasn't enough branches to support more buds. If you looked down from above there were lots of empty spots with no plants.

So overall I think the Mars Hydro kit and light work very well, since all the bud sites grew big and delicious buds. I'm certain my overall low yields were a skill issue.

For my next grow in going to keep the same setup, but buy better seeds and let my plants get to half the desired final size before initiating 12/12.

Based on my experience so far, I definitely recommend Mars Hydro. The price is reasonable. Their TSL2000 light is kind of janky looking, but it's sooo powerful..it's like a little sun in there.
