Grow #2: Northern Lights Auto by RQS | 315W CMH | DWC 5 gallon

With my Cookies Kush entering late veg I thought it would be fun to start a Northern Lights Auto by Royal Queen Seeds under 315W CMH in a 5-gallon deep water culture (DWC) setup.

This little guy is more of a pet project. It will grow under a 20-4 veg cycle alongside some other plants; mostly so i can learn more about autos and the flowering stage as a whole.

Here's how I germinated:

1. Dunked seed in PH'd water for 12 hours (appr.)
2. Moved seed to a rapid rooter in a humidity dome
3. Cracked dome and started giving light after 2 days (20h of 315W CMH light about 40" away)
4. Started giving nute water really early because the cotyledon leaves came out a bit pale.
5. Moved rapid rooter to half-filled 6" net pot (final destination)

I'm not saying this is the best approach -- in fact I think I was a day late giving light -- but it's what I did.

Anyways, I'm really excited to see an autoflower progress! Will try to provide an update every couple weeks. Feel free to tag along for the ride.

I changed the light cycle from 20-4 to 12-12 today because I need to flip the other plant in same tent. I wanted to wait another week or two before adjusting schedule but the other plant is growing really fast.

Dont expect I'll get a big yield but will no doubt learn a bunch before I do a larger auto grow.
