Green hairs

I have one photo period (my first) (an African strain) and I'm getting some buds starting, but in with the white hairs I'm seeing a lot of green hairs. Is this normal? Are the green hairs the same as the white or are they veg.?

Those are good looking plants. An African strain photo period plant? How far along is it? Tell us about your grow. Those hairs you're seeing are pistils, stigma, lady parts, etc., those are what's pollenated. I can't really see any green pistils but it may just be my old eyes or the settings on this machine. Someone can correct me, but I think you're in good shape, what you're seeing are pre=flowers. Normal. If you keep your light schedule consistent and don't have any light leaks during your plant's dark period you'll be fine, your plants will not 're-veg.'

You may be seeing the new sugar leaves coming out a bit white>yellow>green and mistaking it for a pistil? Looks like you need a shot of Ca++ or back off the light, my thinking.

As I had said, this is my first photo, and I wasn't sure if I would be able to bring it in, but it looks like all is going well. It is 5 weeks old. It's on a 12 and 12 light schedule (I use Mars Hydro TS-600 lights) and Miracle grow bud food every other week. I only had one seed, so it was a make or break. It started out real small. I didn't think it would make it. I nursed it until it took hold. Its early troubles left it stunted however, it is only about a foot tall, but because I picked (I don't bend and tie branches, I pick centers) at it, it is covered with bud sites and spread out like a bush. So far, the buds are not very big, but I'm bettin' the bank on this one!

You know I thought that too, but they seem to be in accompanied by white hairs, which to me is a dead give-away for buds starting. I'm gonna keep an eye on it. I've got time.
