Grape ape girls. Hows their buds looking so far?

Hi all just wanted to get some opinions on how my plants are looking. They are at 20 days flower in these pics and I was wondering if bud size looks correct at this stage of flower and will they fill in down the stem? Strain is grape ape and they are in ffof soil. I'm using go box nutes at half strength and full strength calmag off there feeding chart. 300 watt led and 23 watt cfls to supplement light on sides. Thanks

Lol thanks guys. Being my first grow I'm always wanting to make sure things are looking proper from the pros on here. It's been an awesome experience so far learning how to grow, cutting clones and watching them take to finally seeing some buds form. Very exciting. Can wait to see and smoke the final product! Thanks guys!

Hey finch they look awesome! Just harvested some grape ape myself, they didn't look nearly as full as yours but my chopping timing was nearly perfect I thought. Pain relief and sleep aid without the lead boots and great flavor. 54 days from flip to harvest. Took them out when first amber showed up. Hope that helps.

It does help tremendously. I was planning on 58 days but I will definitely keep an eye at 54. Did bud growth seem comparable to mine at this stage? Thanks

You're welcome. Hell no, yours look way better than mine did! I did something stupid, rookie move, turned temps to high 50 (something I misunderstood re pulling purple out of the buds by lowering temps) then there was also power failure issues in 20 degree weather, all started during preflower so it kinda nuked the whole thing. Ok yield but tasty product so I'm ok with it.

Here's another newbie question is this foxtailing or normal? Will this fill in with bud somewhat?

Looking good! Don't stress, that should all fill in nicely. You've still got a month or so to go, plenty of time to bulk up.

They look very well developed for this stage, and they definitely will get quite a bit bigger! As far as a yield estimate...

From my count you have 9 x 23W CFLs and one 300W LED grow light (I'm assuming you mean true wattages, and not "equivalent" watts). In general with an average-to-good grow, CFLs get about 0.25g/watt and LEDs get 0.5g/watt.

CFLs: 9 x 23W x 0.25g/watt = 51.75g
LED: 1 x 300W x 0.5g/watt = 150g

So I'd estimate you could expect about 201.75g in total, or about 7 ounces, on an average-to-good grow. It also depends a lot on strain, as some strains yield better than others (and long-flowering strains tend to yield the most)! I hope that helps you get an idea of what to expect! Looking good :)

Thanks Nebula my led is only drawing about 150 watts so I was hoping to get at least 2 onces ea plant. Hopefully it will be closer to 3 oz each. Planning on adding another led to get full coverage in my 4 x 2 x 5 tent on the next grow.

Well here's are some updated pics of the girls at day 31 of flower. Had a slight issue with using blackstrap molasses. I used unsulfered molasses but was organic so I think it gave me a iron toxicity of a few leaves and my ph was at 7 so I watered with ph'd to 6 water only so hopefully that stops the brown spots for showing any worse and gets the ph down a bit. I also have some purplishing of the sugar leaves on a few colas. Check out the pics thanks

Also got organic unsulfered molasses but haven't gotten to use it yet. How much did you feed them? And how much would you recomend if you could redo it?
Overall your plants look great to me, ur gonna have a good time blazing that up in smoke ;)

I'm going to buy more but just organic this time...lol I was doing 1 tsp per gallon. I might go down to a half a tsp. Thanks
