Grafters corner questions

So from what I get, one takes a clone A and fuse it to a mother B. Basically right? But it's two different plants growing out of the same roots. What if? What if I was to do that, let A take off and grow and when it looks strong enough to be on its own, what if I was to remove all B foliage and branches, forcing all the growth, strain characteristics and energy from B into A? Letting new A flower would I actually create a new strain ? Would they both mix together? Or would I just waste my time? Thanks for reading!

From your example the A graft may display some of the characteristics of both plants, but there is no genetic mixing involved. If you were to grow that grafted plant and then clone it, at a later date, all the clones would revert to being the same as the original A plant you started with.

So what happens, the rootstock exhibits traits of it's bud structure while keeping the smell and growth habit of the scion. Breeding with it doesn't do much because the genetics only change slightly at the grafted region. The rest of the plant stays the same basically.

You would not graft a scion onto a different rootstock to change the characteristic's of the rootstock. Rootstocks are used to influence the characteristic's of the scion. Even at the graft union there is no exchange of genetic material.

Make sure to get Parafilm (Link). Use a clean sanitized (with alcohol) blade.also pick up a few bottles of H2O2 from the store. You can water with them if things start to rot out.
