Im laying here smoking some purple punch by barneys farm about to go to bed and im just thinking about cloning/cloning autoflowers and i know why it doesnt really work cause the cut is on the same time frame as the mom but my high thought was that since they are crossed with a photo period strain could you maybe re-veg a plant and or a clone thats an autoflower is you maybe put the ligh hours down to a more natual spring time like 15:30 and 8:30 maybe with some straines like the ones that take longer to flower maybe you could play with it and find some you can reveg and once they did that the plant like resets its time cause it knows its not big enoygh to flower lol idk im stoned purple punch is my fav strain this year and my one pp bag seed i had going i just found out he was a male tonight but i have plenty more but only 1 auto so let me know your thought if maybe some of you can get wbere im coming from

Even though I'm not high I think I may understand what you are trying to explain. The simple fact is that a clone is nothing more than a living piece of the mother plant and her genetics will not change under any circumstances. If she grew as an auto there is no way to get her to kick in any of her photo genes no matter what kind of light trickery you may try to employ. That being said, I have seen with my own eyes autos that grow from seed that have dominate photo genes and grow as photos.I have never heard of an auto re-vegging and If you do clone a true auto more than likely you will have at best a tiny lollipop that buds and falls over. I don't like being the guy that shits on your birthday cake because I can tell you put a lot of buzz thought into it. Honestly, there's no good reason not to try it but I felt it worth tempering your expectations.

I dig the way you explain things crucialbunny. I'm also one who since a teen would lay awake floating in ideas. I won't even ask the question " will it work " i just do it and see for myself. If i'm curious i'll try and do it.
