Thank you for that link..... learned a lot. Very exciting when you get it right. I’m gonna need to read a bit more on the actual process involved. Initially when I saw those commercial units, I’m new I need to try this. Some of those units show pressure and temp displays which , depending on the process, may be helpful... still learning a lot. Never knew there were posts on doing this. I have access to a 2 gallon hydraulic reservoir with 12v electric motor to drive the fluid into cylinders to press and solenoids to reverse flow, framework I can weld up anything needed based on size ..steel, since it’s mostly small cuts, I can lift most of them. The log splitter has a 7 foot 3/4†thick I-beam that took three of us to set it on a trailer axle and weld it so I was able to roll the thing around to finish adding other parts to the unit.
The other option instead of fluid drive is air. Or fluid over air.. I’m going to start with the plate guy and the Harbor Freight 12 ton press. Gets thing going within a week compared to building . Can you recommend a site that discusses pressing the way we review garden techniques?
