I don't like to see you stranded but I don't know anything but dirt and little about that. If your medium was deficient would your seeds have lived past sprouting? I mean if your balance was right at the start how could it go wrong so fast?

High guys lol just checking back in need to know if these look like theyre doing good it looks like my northern lights is growing little hairs??? And its drooping on top i just removed two leaves that were dead couple days ago.. My lights are like 22" from plant with the veg lights lil lower cause theyre not as strong and just supplement my bigger lamp. I started turning my light on veg and bloom so it would deliver full spectrum light not just veg and to bump up the temp in closet.. Are these okay?? The smaller one that looks like its mutated or sumn with all the leaves its a gorilla glue auto

The Northern Light sure started early on the flowering - it’s my understanding that most auto’s do not start flowering until around weeks 4 or 5. The GG looks good. If it was me I would start them in their forever homes first to avoid transplanting. It may also be a good idea to go ahead and transfer them now. Even though the Northern Lights may end up being a runt transplanting to cloth bags now could help alleviate any root issues and help with growth, allowing the roots some growing and breathing space. Sorry you were left hanging - I don’t get on much these days. I have been growing in Hydro DWC for 10 years and here is my take on your situation. I really think it’s genetics. All plants are the same, all plants display the same anomaly. What you’re seeing is not normal even for nutrient deficiency or overload. You’re set up and specs look fine. As long as the girls are otherwise healthy and growing well there is really nothing that needs to be done. In hydro keep an eye on your roots as you know. The babies look nice in their clean white tees 😎

I have some GSC autos in their 5th week and may be starting to flower but I hope I am wrong, They are barely 14" tall but wider, I am a bit disappointed in their size and have been topped once. I am hoping they are going to explode soon. This is my first serious grow but I would suggest getting those plants pictured in their final homes as well.

I'd transplant stat and fill the container full. NL seems to want more calcium or cal-mag according to most NL auto growers I've seen post. I had a ridiculously small NL auto, it started flowering at 3 weeks.

Now my GG auto is startin to grow flower hairs and its only like 2 inches tall sprout basically,// the northern lights is about 4inches ive transplanted. All but the one BCN sprout. Is it cause i had them on veg lighting for so long that when i tried to just up the lighting by adding bloom setting l.e.d's too that the plant took that as a signal to flower? cause those spectrums were added to its regular dose of just veg setting lights that are more blue? I turned the bloom setting off so hopefully the plants change their minds and grow bigger first then ill turn bloom back on

I wouldn't lower your lighting. Autoflowers aren't supposed to be light sensitive like that. I ran both lights most of the time.

BeeGinner He did do solo cups with first not enough soil in them. I only had one auto grow, it was horrid, most growers don't transplant autos, seed to final pot.

Hazyn740 both comments by BeeGinner and Puglover1 are pointing you in the right direction. Burnt leaf tips on young plants can indeed be a sign of nutrient burn, but yellowing leaves and leaf tips can also be caused by overwatering and light burn. Whether you transfer your plants or start them in a smaller starting pot is completely up to you. Some like a fuller rootball before putting their plants in their forever home. What’s really important for young plants is less nutrients and drainage. Over time you may find some strains will do better starting in larger pots and some may not. In the end; you know your plants best and will always have to temper advice with personal knowledge.

I germinated my autos in plugs and placed the plugs in the convenient trays, I did it that way thinking I could better control water and humidity. A couple of days after germination I placed them in 5 gal pots. I don't think the plants had any awareness of what size pot they were in and think the only difference was in my head. I had success 7 out of 7 seeds. However if a grower plans on handling the seedlings a lot, moving them from table to tent and such smaller pots makes it easier. In the long run I think the more room for root growth the better but I am new at indoor gardening.

The problem with big pots and little plants is watering. My last transplant I did not thoroughly water the new soil for a couple of weeks. Just added a quart right at the plant when transplanting, again the next day just a bit then finally a half gallon yesterday.

3Berries I did the same. After a day or two the thought came to me that I should have added water to the 5 gal in prep for the transplant. Because I used hot soil I water a 4 cups at a time until I see run off every three days.
They are really exploding in their 6th week, 2 inches or so a day, I think the roots are reaching the richest soil at the right time. The only way to confirm this would be to replant in a 7 gal pot. If I am wrong headed about this I hope someone will tell me, like, "No, Saty that is the way GSC autos grow."

Hi All

just getting into my first grow and have a small issue I hope you might be able to advise me on. I'm seeing some brown spots on my leaves, but only on a few of the plants. Quick rundown on what i'm working with:

9 auto's in 3 gallon canvas
3x3x6 tent
sun systems 315 LEC
mother earth coco mix
Gen Hydro Fora, Bloom and Grow + calimag

Today is the last day of week 2 and the light has been 24" away from the plants for the last week when I moved them from rapid rooters to their current homes. After reading the tutorials I was worried about over watering and may have under watered them a bit this week. They were given water when the medium felt dry, however I might have gone a bit light in how much I gave them. I've been giving them 1/4 noots + calmag with each watering.

The spots also seem to be where water droplets came to rest after watering. I've been checking and adjusting the PH to 5.5 - 6.5.

Not every plant has it and there isnt a clear pattern inside the tent. The back two rows contain the four plants that seem to be having the issues.

After doing more research it looks like its probably a cal deficiency. I also realized while making this solution that i've completely botched my PH. I had not been stirring after correcting, which means i've been using insanely low PH water (like a strong 4). Tomorrow is their first day where they will get vegetative state watering, so hopefully its onward and upward from here.

Maybe shoot for 6.5 pH? Good luck on your grow! Take good care of those ladies. They might be ready to water to the edges to encourage the roots to grow out and down. Damp, not flooded or runoff just consistently damp so you get a feel for the weight.

thanks! They got their first full watering and they responded as well as could be. I'm seeing solid new growth with very healthy leaves. I think by the end of week 3 they'll be ready to top.

I don't know much but I would lower your lights to no more than 18", also, as they get bigger they will drink up more water so, don't let them run dry. One last thing, I don't know what your plans are but I think 7 plants are too many for a 36X36 tent, My tent is 4X4 I gave one plant away, I should have sold it 7 weeks old but I didn't, to reduce my count to 5 I am moving one around my backyard following the Sun. I could grow 6 but I would have to give up on keeping them a part completely, even with netting. In my 1st time grower's opinion the amount of greenery is more important than the size of the pot. I use 5gal. bags because I want the roots yo have ample room. I think Puglover1 is right about about runoff as well.
