You should water near the new sprouts in a circle but also do another circle of water about an inch farther outward. You need to get enough water toward the sides and bottoms for the roots to follow the water to grow outward and downward. Some people might use a .5 liter water bottle, I have a very small watering can with a long metal spout that I use for seedlings, it doesn't disrupt the soil. I didn't water daily. If your soil mix isn't totally 'mixed' I'd pull out those chunks of sticks or anything not decomposed, be better to use Miracle Gro organics for the seedlings than that (I know you had other plans, stuff happens). Personally, I'd get these healthy and growing larger before transplanting. Yes, you can remove what you can and add more soil, but don't have foliage touching the soil. As the plant grows taller you will lose a few leaves, makes room for more good soil. Those look like they're growing in a desert, no offense. In pictures here they all look like they need a through soak until a little run off. If you have drainage holes and some air circulation I wouldn't worry about getting them fully watered, just be gentle.

I did that and now look my biggest one just fell over.. I swear this soil had fungus in it its killed everything im an idiot for digging after a rain and having such damp outside soil with root chunks and shit from bushes outback i completely screwed this i guarentee they all die no matter what i do thats just my luck

I litterally WUNG a grow with miracle grow soil at that with its bad rep and with seed i found in my smoke over the years and didnt have nowhere near this many problems

Above is the plant i found drooping from thirst. Top left is plant that just fell over out of nowhere. Top right plant is one that shriveled up outside one day but didnt die and just never got much better besides dots on stem are gone but hasnt died yet and stays dry shriveled looking no matter how much water its getting



Below is my set up in closet also the smaller lights are off cause my other sprout looked like some one spun it in a circle for hrs leaves hanging down crazy. Gave them all 2 caps of water last night then put sprout domes with vents over them and turn lights off for the night so water would get down in there.. Woke up and my biggest sprout looks like its undergoing damping off? One white spot on stem right at soil line like the other had before i put peroxide on it with a cotton swab and it went away that plant still hasnt shown any improvement other than its alive still barely.. This one i propped with toothpick like you said cause it fell all the way over.. Stem isnt broken yet.. Just got my fox farm soil today but tbh.. These plants already having been contaminated im afraid even if one does survive i dont wanna waste 3 gal of good soil and even all my other money and time i put into this i might just scrap this and try to do my BCN Critical auto, sour diesel auto, and gorilla glue auto seeds right this time im gettin germ cubes and everything so it can just grow in a perfect medium.. Ugh pray for these guys im gonna need all your advice i can to save even one of their lives

If you add a finer soil on top you could help that seedling stand up plus the buried stem should grow roots to help. Too much chunky in there for solo cups.

All I can say is that I'd water them fully, no domes, and I'm not sure of your light's distance. But put some finer soil like M-G or something else on top, after removing some of the chunky outdoor soil. You have sprouted seeds, new plants wanting to grow, you must help them.

Stake it, tie it, zip ties, whatever if you want it to succeed. That soil still looks dry, the chunky stuff. It's not composted yet.

I turned big light off and just using two smaller veg lights but it did say they put out 254ppfd at 4" from plant.. I have these at 18" from plant but you said baby them so thats what i thought would help. Big light brings temp up to 83 by itself it gets up to 89 with all of them running. 78 with just these two seedling lights. Now the water doesnt dry up as fast plus i removed as much crap as i could using foxfarm soil to replace and help stand the one sprout that fell over up and also did same to healthy one and watered afterwards and my smaller one really looks happy now the bigger one looks like its starting to grow another section of leaves even tho it fell over and was damping off. The leaves are still droopy in it as you can see in pic its the closest sprout but soil still shows lil water.. Cant water it so just leave it be right? Should i move these lights closer? And as always im grateful for your guys help no matter how its given the soil did look bad i admit.. Thank you so much

This is why this site does not recommend using those lights for " sprouts " totally wasted light money. All sprouts need is some CFL 4" above them. Beware when they do begin to grow roots deeper they are going to be reaching upward for more light which will cause those stalks to fall over from the weight of the top of plant. Sorry man

would these work better for sprouts? So then should i turn my big light back on veg setting then and turn those back off or move these sprout lights closer and wait on the bigger light till ive transplanted i just turned all my lights on and moved the sprout lights up outta their range but same height as big light just to supplement it i guess.

keeping eye on them just ordered two fans also would it be beneficial to just put them in their 3gal fabric pots so they have better environment or just let them tough it out in these solos with no drainage or air flow for couple more weeks. These are about 2 weeks old

All in all you’re doing a fine job. Asking for help when needed and learning as you go - like the rest of us. Your plants will be fine with the LED panels just be sure and keep them high enough not to damage the babies. They may stretch a bit but once the stalks firm up they’ll be good to go. You can also use a straw cut about ¼ inch longer than the stem, split it down the middle and place it around your seedlings with the extra length buried in your starting medium. There’s no need to remove the straw as the plants will push it off as the stalks grow. Also for future reference; flat white is at least as effective for light reflection as aluminum foil and easier to maintain. Keep on keeping on and Happy Pharming! 👍🏼

Do you have drain holes poked in the bottoms of the solo cups? They look much better! I wouldn't rush the transplant, let them toughen up a little more, the roots should have some room to grow more. I use flat white in my closet, no reflective material. No biggie, the foil is just a PITA when it's not necessary.

Hell yea thank you for the confidence boost the one plant wasnt improving i finally tossed i saw the roots looked like they were dead only reason it was standing up cause i top dressed the soil like you said which i believe made my other healthy Northern Lights really happy. The inside of my closet is flat white paint so i didnt even need the foil!?!? Ive just swapped out dead plant for new BCN Critical XXL and another Gorilla Glue both autos im hoping to fit atleast 3 plants at a time in there and maybe once they start budding have 3 more sprouts growing in the shade of the big girls. Im curious to see if the BCN will catch up to my Northern lights since it seems like its started off slow its like 3 weeks old now and just now starting to grow its next set of leaves. I believe the soil outside my house may be naturally contaminated due to constant soot being released from really big steel plant next to my neighborhood for decades. That makes me wary of trying to grow outdoors in this clear greenhouse tent i bought on amazon. What do you guys think. All my sprouts died mysteriously and by time i learned enough i treated that healthy plants soil with peroxide then water then top dressed like you said and it lools good im just wondering if the dirty soil from outside is making my plant fight harder to live and maybe the all fox farm coco and perlite stuff i got the BCN and GG in will grow it faster since its better shit.. I do have holes poked all around the sides down lower and on the bottoms of the cups so they should be good

how many plants could i fit in this closet? Its 18inches deep and 34inches long. I dont wanna put too many at a time under those lamps and have some blocking light of other so is 3 gonna be the max. Plants should only get max like 4 feet tall hopefully or ill have a whole other problem. Serious question would you guys germ rest of your fleet and grow outside in the environment i described? Id like to maybe do 3-4 inside and then throw some outside just for hell of it and to get bigger harvest all at once. Im not putting rhem in the ground but the air here could be dirty from steel mill. And its Jul 23rd would i have enough time in ohio?

also is the lighter green in center okay??

And my stem is purpler some days i swear and others it lightens up is purple stem normal for northern lights. I know its not getting too cold at night i have AC in my room but turn it down just so when i wake up thermometer isnt sayin 63 its more like 66-70 in closet

1.5' x 3' ... one plant? Stem looks fine. A photo in Ohio wouldn't finish outside on time. Maybe an auto. Watch the center, I wouldn't be worried right now. I have a 2' x 5.5' closet, 3 indica photos filled it up. If you have anywhere to place it I'd suggest buying a tent.

I agree with Puglover1 your closet is rather small so I think one regular photo plant or maybe two auto’s if you do little to no training. I think air flow and ventilation are going to be your main issues other than size. If you’re unsure about outside soil go with something else. You should look up alltatup ‘s horizontal grow journal in the main forum - excellent example of what can be done in a small space. Happy Pharming!

Hey everyone, just curious what I should do with these yellowing fan leaves. The still have a big of green left on them so I didint know if I should leave them for a couple more days till they turned completely yellow or should I just trim them know and get it over with? First 2 pictures are the plant in question, second 2 are of all of them. First time growing so I’m still figuring everything out without killing my baby’s.
