First time grower here. My leaves are turning a whitish color on the tips. Also, The stalks on the plants have purple veins. I am using soil,GH nutes, 400 watt MH, in a 2x4 tent. My tent is in my basement and the temp gets down to 62 degrees when the lights off, and up to 80 with the light on. I cant find much info on the purple veins so its hard to find the cause. any help would be appreciated.

the purple stems are because of the temp change over night, do you leave the plants sitting in water in those trays?are you growing in dirt,coco ?if your growing in coco did you charge the coco with extra cal-mag if not that would be the first thing to do I usually give a double dose when I mix my coco
Have posted this before but still not sure about this. I have three wedding cakes under 2 HPS, they are 4 weeks into flower and I'm growing in coco, recently these small white bugs have appeared in my runoff, from what I can tell they are springtails. Apparently they cause no harm to the plant but I'm not sure... Can anyone confirm this for me? Have attached a photo of them. The plants are healthy and doing really well actually, but I've never encountered these before, any help would be appreciated.

Hello all! I want to share with you few pictures. I do have a problem and I am trying to find out what is it.
I am uploading several pictures.
Quick history what I did:
- The seed (auto-flowering female) has been planted in August 2019. The plant is 6-months old. There is no single bud at the moment. I've did topping/fimming 3-4 times. The light is 400 watt, 18 h turned on, 6 hours off. There are no buds. I've sprinkle the plant with several preparation - for the roots, for the leafs. I've started to spray it with bio blooom (bio bizz) for flowering in the last 3-4 weeks. I gave it before only 2-3 times.
The ph is between 5.5 and 6.5. The light has been between 20 and 30 cm. I've lifted the lamp higher, because I think light burning can be one of the reason.
Can that plant be saved or there is no hope for it?

I had this happen to my plants when the temp dropped too low one day... but that was weeks ago and no issues since. The purple stems are starting to correct themselves. However, purple stems can also be a sign of magnesium deficiency so make sure you have proper pH. I'd try bringing that night temp up a bit if possible and maybe your day temp down so it's not such a swing and less stressful on your plants. Good luck!
I would say you have a root problem and that pot is too small for the plant first off. So I'd be transplanting it right away. You're having major nutrient deficiencies and maybe transplanting alone will make the roots happy again. I'm not familiar with autos but 6 months is a long time in veg and the plant isn't that big... i think i've read that autos don't like a lot of stress so i'd start babying it and hopefully it'll bounce back.

Thanks for the answer. I agree for autos.Actually what I could screw it.I did it. With lower ph in the begging, twice transplanting into bigger pots... There is no much bigger pots than this I think. This one is 38 liters.

JackMacGyver can you tell how you know it is auto seed because it is hell of a time for auto. The most I have seen is 8-12w germination to harvest. Which strain is it? Which 400w light are you using? Is it LED, MH, HPS? I don't know much about others but in the case of LED, it should always be 12 inches away all the time. So this is potentially light burn and stunted growth. From what I know, autos don't react good to any plant training but can only cope with LST.

That is it. Today was the funeral of my little baby. It is auto, because I bought it from the shop. I didn't know it that Ãs that hard to raise auto. I transplanted it 2 or 3 times, probably that is one of the main mistake. But I also in the first weeks gave water and food with higher ph.
I thought the root system is very, very bad, but after the dissection it seems to me bot that bad at all. I am attaching pictures (in the main post upper) and will be glad if you share with me your opinion what was wrong with it.
I had 400 watt SHP-TS lamp (HPS). It is so hard to say goodbye...

JackMacGyver On the contrary, autos are easy to raise. You do not have to control the light schedule. Autos will flower at the predefined period irrespective of hours of light. It is highly unlikely that this plant was auto and not flowering even after six months. Other respected folks here can shed more light onto this.
20/30 cm is pretty close for 400W HPS. Closest it can be is 30 cm, should be 35 cm and could be 48 cm.

Do you have runoff pH readings of the plant from past weeks? It can be helpful to know what kind of pH change the plants were going through.

Hi, about a month ago I took a chance on a random single seed I found in some purple bud, its grown quite quick, and was looking great when yesterday I noticed a leaf with yellowish brown spots close to the tips, along with one of the first seedling leafs has now curled, any ideas on what to do, I used miracle grow moisture control compost, and it's in a 14cm round pot, its currently being kept in our kitchen I'm planning on moving it into an unused room

Looks like outgrown cup getting no air to roots, mix of soil to rich for seedling. I would transplant "yesterday" into fresh no fertilizer soil. That could me a male plant also so be aware. I would highly recommend reading the GWE tutorials on what marijuana needs are. They do not like compacted soils. I wish you luck

I have budding plant abut 6 weeks in flower. I feed it Mega Crop + Bud Explosion. 1/2 strength + full strength Cal-mag. Never had a problem with this mix. Everything is nice except these leaves are popping up and worrying me.
Looks like copper deficiency or possibly root problems based on pictures on this site. I flushed the roots twice in a row in case it's nute burn. getting ready to resume feeding.
Any thoughts?
3 gallon fabric pot, coco, top feed every day 3 quarts to 1 gallon to about a pint of runoff. it's a big plant
My hope is that it will mature before it gets killed by whatever it is but I;d love to stop it
