Get Help for Cannabis Plants Problems as Quickly as Possible!

I am looking at (3) 5 gallon hydro pots of og kush that are 4 weeks old in a few days. Around 18” tall with about 3-4 inches between nodes....topped last week. Sorry I can’t get a picture now but the fan leaves on two them are wider and longer than my hand (8” pinky to thumb). Against all other new growth, they look out of place. I read that they should stay on BUT I’ve also read to remove them. Yes they shade a bit of the lower nodes but I have tied down some tops to open up the bottom more. Not really dealing with any other problems yet. Is there a consensus on the better thing to do?

Hey those sound like some AWESOME fan leaves Farmall!
My plants tend to put out bigger fans when the're growing good, my guess is that they are completely normal.
Check out Nebulas Guide to defoliation. Ya, there are lots of opinions of removing leaves, hears mine. Plants grow some extras in the wild, to take care of the plants health, in case of attack from pests like bugs, deer, Etc. But to many leaves can hurt yield, since shading out bud sites can cause the plant to send less energy to shaded buds, also, a very leafy plant can raise the humidity in your grow room, and have a higher risk of pests and mold. So it is possible to increase yields and possibly plant health in captivity with a little defol, but if you take away some of her leaves, you know have a duty to protect the ones she's got left.

Check out what Nebula says, and follow her advice if you think the plant will need some leaves removed.

Thanks for the information... so in short, she’s gonna attack me at the very most with foliage... I’m gonna go check out the guide next.... went a few minutes ago to check, . . They are big ones, like those old Tarzan movies as they fan the princess under those giant leaves, but I can wait based on your comment as well. I’ll admit, tough call since I only want to do what’s best.

It can be best to just leave them, especially if your just starting out. Unless they are causing a problem. My current grow, I think I took to many, the plant is kinda pot bound in the raised bed it's in, and now as she gets towards the end, is low on newts, and quickly eating up the leaves she has left, in order to feed the buds. I think I'll make it, but barely! So got to be careful if you start trimming leaves out, but it can be a good tool sometimes.

Leaves turning yellow

So, this is an outside grow. These plants have only been in their current location for 5 days. After doing some reading, I realised that the problem could be nutrient burn, as I've most likely been overwatering, and thus they were taking up too much nutrients alongside the water and so on and so forth. However, I'm sure that everyone on here is more knowledgeable on this than I am, so I thought I'd ask you all if you see anything else wrong, or have any tips. Cheers

I haven't been adding nutes though. So in short, unless I transplant them, they're most likely screwed?

Welcome to the forum. Yes you will need to transplant, as shotgun stated you don't want more then one plant per container. Maybe you could get lucky and grow them fine but they need individual space, cannabis can grow very large. Also looks like there's some bug damage or ph problems. You always want to ph what you give your plants whether it's with nutes or without. Not a whole lot of info here. Are you saying these plants are only 5 days old? Looks like they aren't getting enough light to me and you should probably read up on how to train cannabis.

Thanks everyone for the advice. So I transplanted them, each to their own container. I've pH'd my water, but I've also found that my soil is a bit too much on the alkaline side, so I followed some other instructions as well and shared a 3L water to 1cup vinegar solution between the three of them. I also added 3 cups of large rocks mixed with small rocks into each container and mixed it through the soil as perlite. This is them now. Any better? Bearing in mind that they were only transplanted today, so no changes in the plants yet I'd assume. Just wanting thoughts about the setup.

Few days ago had a little flush 20+Liters (/ 18L pot)
And added after Advanced Nutrients Revive (ppm 700 / 200).

Does 200 sounds good?

Hey everyone
Again, thanks so much for all the help so far, but I have yet another question. I've noticed that my resting soil pH is too alkaline, 7. If I'm not mistaken, the ideal pH for auto-flowering cannabis is between 5.5-6.5. So far, everything I have tried to increase the resting acidity of the soil has only worked temporarily, with the pH always returning to 7. Any suggestions on how to increase the resting acidity of the soil?

Thanks heaps. Btw, how resilient is cannabis as a plant? I have heard it is quite resilient in that it will try its very hardest to grow regardless of its environment, but how true is that? Thanks

:shock: HELP!!! TOP FED DWC....

I have a top fed dwc first grow. I followed Sirus's tutorial on it and now 2.5 days after I am reading alot that I am not supposed to hook up the top feed until a couple weeks???? That it can cause waterlogging??? I started from seed in rapid roosters on my setup. With water flowing.... my ba is are about 2 inches tall now. If the stretch any more will lower my lights a few inches. Preventative measures. Anyone shed some "light" on this one?

Darn it.... I have been looking for an answer to this same question....looks like we are running the same type of systems. I might add that there are many excellent tutorials on using CFLs for seedlings and I am thinking that the LEDs were to much for the babies and was the cause of my hydro stretch problem

Wow. I am moving my lights a little closer. Thank you for th comment. Super nice setup you got going there though. Wish I had the space here. Jealous. Is there anything you can do to "fill them out? Maybe lst and intense light maybe thicken her up a little? Idk I'm a newbie. But surely SOMEONE in all these years have been in our shoes and will chime in. Hopefully

Well, I’ve gotten some feedback from a few very successful growers here and it is a possibility thT I had my nutes too high and then when I noticed it, I changed the solution to read half of the previous number and the plants said..”NO”.... I should have made those changes gradually. They’re looking better but I think the yields on those will be lower than I’d hoped for. Using a PPM meter so it’s easy to see the strength of the solution.

Hi guys i'm a first time grower, my seeds germinated on 10/9/18. The temp in my tent fluctuates between 23-28 degrees and humidity between 40-58%. I've transplanted my plants to a bigger pot (11L air pots). 4/5 have been growing fine but i have noticed 1 isn't growing properly, the leaves are clawing, they are growing under 450W Vipar Spectra LEDs. Does anyone have any ideas as to why?

Wow. I'm a newbie also. Just sayin. Mine are older than yours and are half the size. Someone will chime in though. Sorry you are having troubles. Here is a pic of mine and they Germinated on the 8th.
