Help! Yellowing in seedlings at top of new growth at 2 weeks.

Hi! I sprouted in peat pots and moved into Fox Farms CocoLoco soil, which should have ample nutrients.

IMG_20190115_170203791.jpg

I added some Down To Earth starter mix (link below) and have one half-strength watering/fert with Fox Farms Big Bloom and Boomerang per the FF schedule. I added a tiny bit of Rapid Start (10 drops/gal) and a tiny bit of SuperThrive (1/2 tsp/gal)

I'm using a MH light set at 200 watts. I'm keeping the temperature around 75°F.

Any ideas what this means? Also, at two weeks, is the growth sluggish?

The strain is an Afghan 100% Indica.

Thanks for any help!

I think you are using nutrients too early (esp in FF soil) Also whats your pH at?

The growth is normal. Seeds to veg feels like it takes forever! So they are on track!

Hi all, am in need of some help identifing this problem.I grow in hydroton, recirc system. Its my 3rd grow with no problems before this.I keep PH at around 5.7, checked twice a day. I keep nutes at
around 1.4 to 1.6. Its been bloody hot lately and because ofwhere the set is Im at the mercy of the ambient temperature so inside the tent its been getting in the mid tohigh 30's, celcius that is. I was running 2X1000w but havejust swapped to 2X600w on digital ballast that has variablewattage. My hydroponics supplier says its wind burn from the fansblowing hot air on plants, which it may be. The lower leaves
are/were worst affected but even the newer leaves aredeveloping the same discolouring although to a much lesserextent. The top leaves tips are turned up while thelower ones are turned down.
The leaf serrations are a yellow/brown colour, pretty much the same as the first photo NebulaHaze posted at the start of this forum except its on all leaf serrations. The odd spots are brown not white. Any advice is truly welcomed. Cheers

What is the temperature and RH in the tent normally at (during this)
Are the fans blowing on the plants (gently rustle or a heavy blowing)

The nutes: Do you 1.4% -1.6% recommended dosage?

It was 30Cish during lights off (during daytime), 35+ lights on (nighttime). It's been insanely hot down here, day and night, in the last month or so. Lately it has calmed down a bit, warm/hot days and cooler nights although this week it's going to creep up to 40C+ during day, low 20's at night. RH was mid/high 30's now mid/high 40's. I did have fans blowing on to plants but have since changed them on to floor below plants so air is blowing around rather than on. I use box fans, the front grill turns and changes wind direction rather than oscillating fans. I wasn't quite clear, when I said 1.4 to 1.6 I ment EC not %. I tend to keep EC low. Thanks Qwertywill

Those roots should look bright and near white....occasionally they can get stained from some nutrient formulas. This does not look to be a stain

First grow and my plant is almost in week 2 of flower. The lower leaves got really thin, almost see through and withered and seems to be moving up the plant. They are potted in a coco, soil, perilite mix (mostly coco). They get a combo of sunlight and led floodlight (and I know the floodlight was a mistake at this point). Soil ph is 6.5. Help would be appreciated

I looked in on the girls this AM and found some leaves that looked like this? I removed all the ones I could see. It was 6AM when the lights came on and was not totally awake yet. Any thoughts?

They have been getting regular watering about every 36 hours lately they are getting dry. I am adding 1.5 tsp of Maxi Bloom and 1 tsp of Kool Bloom to my watering can that holds aprox 2 Gal, my water naturally PH to 6.1 almost always. I usually check and let my water sit in jug for 12 hr min before using. Night temp 66.76 avg, Humidity 49.6 and avg Day temp 75, Humidity 42.22.

Well, no more spots anywhere today, I know a guy who is a professional grower in CO, and he texted me back that it was water spots where water got on the leaves and acted like a magnifying glass and fried the leaves like we used to as kids. All looks great today

Well I encountered another issue, need some advice. I am about to get in the mail any day some Jack Here Autoflower's and while I am growing those I was going to start 2 mother plants from seeds I bought to grow next. Long story. But in the meantime while I am about to run the Auto's I was going to start 2 mother plants. So when I planted them I was drinking a bit and smoking and apparently I planted 2 seeds in one Root Riot cube and they came up together yesterday.

So I have 2 stalks coming up from my Strawberry Banana seeds. Can I split them? Should I grow them together. I am planing to make Bonsai Mother's out of them. I was thinking that I might find the largest Bonsai pot I could and grow them around a rock or something but with 2 plants would that be too much of a root system. Should I just grow them with the Autos and put them in a 5 gal pot? They will have a week or two ahead of them? I could just grow 3 or 4 of the auto's and this one and then plant another seed. I had 5 of each. I knew something was wrong I thought I had lost a seed because I could only find 3 after planting.

What would you do or has anyone else done this?

Ok, BlueBudz, I can't thank you enough I was pondering what to do maybe get a big pot and let them go. I pulled the Root Riot apart slowly and I don't think I damaged a one. The tap root was easy to get to and no damage and then I pulled little pieces away and the roots just sild out in whole. I planted directly into 2, 3" Coco Coir Pots and put under my OTT light on top of my heating mat and put baggies on top. Hope all goes well.

Just again a huge thank you to everyone on this board. I have gotten some great help when needed. THANKS TO ALL!!!!!!

Here is my grow Journal for my Mother plants I am going to be trying bonsai mother plants.
