The mother of these bad asses was the culprit. Jack the Cat was fully exonerated. It turns out that one or both of the lemon basset hounds that sleep in the adjacent basement room are the one (s) that mutilated the GSC. A couple of days later numerous plants were tipped over and chewed on. I should have taken a photo as it was one helluva mess! However I was so horrified, and frantic I didn't take the time. Cinnamon the mother of the pups above who is now around 15 years old is a possible suspect due to her senility. The other suspect who I call Duke's Ugly Daughter is the progeny of a male English basset that we own at another property. She is a glutton, and could very well have turned my grow into her private buffet. Anyway though some stunting most probably has occurred no plant was totally lost.

Uhhhhhmmmmnnnn, that's an awful funny-looking cat. Is s/he breating catnip inside the mask, like mainlining it???

I planted catnip one year for our cat and every cat for miles found it a urinated everywhere on our property. Dug that little bush up and burned it. I don't mind one killer cat but a dozen is ridiculous.
