gavita plasma vs hps

It depends what and WHERE you are growing! Gavita's are not a cheap alternative to the typical HPS setup!

Gavitas have been widely used for commercial growing or big basements and warehouses since the come packed with tons of heat!!

Their price is a tad more expensive for initial setup(even the full plug n play ones) and will cost you more at cooling! Now unless there is a new-aircooled or some other type of cooling system for Gavita OR if you have the time money and patience to fix the temps for it,i would get it!!They do claim many more working hours than i.e. a 600w hps but that again is on the BULB manufacturer and not the total setup!Yes their ballasts are made for their lamps and their reflector also,no doubt...But getting one or two 600w HPS with a DUAL LAMP REFLECTOR or an AIRCOOLED HOOD(depending on 1 or 2 bulbs) will get you the same yield watt for watt and less expenses ,both initial and longterm for colling...

I have not done a great research on the Gavitas workaround for heat and watt-for-watt but that is all i have in my head about it atm..Hope it helps!

P.S If you can afford it go get it,if you want to save a few and still have more than 600w get a dual lamp reflector with MH+HPS at 2x600 = 1200w and are more efficient than a 1000w MH/HPS
