Furry helpers

Same here homegrown. We lose about one a month. Ours are sparrow hawks. Small and fast. I think they get the doves because their feet are too short and they can't launch as fast as other birds. Once they are in flight they're fine.
 
This cat was standing up tapping at my face while I laid on the couch. Second time he put his nose to my mouth, then sat back down and licked his lips. I had just taken two vape hits off a cart I bought last month. Was he Jonesin' for weed?

SoOrbudgal We have cardinals, one hangs out in my backyard redbud or whatever tree along with a bluebird, just need a white dove for the 4th of July. Before a derecho totally wiped out my 25 yr old professionally landscaped front & side yards. I had a bush, yew? in front of my front porch/LR windows. I sat and watched for over an hour while a cardinal chased a snake from a nest of babies.
 
My eyes get drawn to the cat's ears. I see pistils and get the sads, I haven't seen any pistils in person for too long.

The most distinguishing feature of crocodile leather is the integumentary sensory organ pore. Crocodiles have a sensory hair on each scale that is used to feel their environment. After the hide is tanned the hair is gone but the pore in each scale remains.
 
Yup! Except I prefer to do my own topping, at the time I decide is right. LoL. My Siamese likes the fan leaves to play with on the floor, he chooses which leaves.
 
Hi. I'm not really Gingerbeard. GB does not post cat stuff unless cats are the joke, and the punchline. As Bill the cat would say, 'Ack!' If he catches me, he will beat me with his mighty beard, that is gingered. He is (all?)mighty. And handsome. And worth a zillion dollars. Omni-potent, too. One of the two people to beat Chuck Norris.

War Cat accidentally scratched my jaw, face and under eye Wednesday night. The quick repositioning of a finger saved my eyeball from being scratched right up the middle. I had to have a photo taken the next day, to renew my mmj card. Makeup and hair helped until I had to Tuck, to expose my ears. He's posted here under furry 'friends' because his flying around the LR and antagonizing the pugs last night had me laughing, hard, I needed it. I have a gif of him in mid-air.
