The bad news is that I have never heard of only 2 fungus gnats. The good news is that they are reasonably easy to get rid of, and they don't really do harm to the plant unless you get them bad and they damage your roots.
I had quite a few so I put about an inch of sand on top of my peat based medium and let the top of my medium dry out more between watering's. It took about 10-12 days at least to get rid of them all.
If you use sand or DE on top of your soil, it is best to water in a way that doesn't wash it all down into your medium.
