Fruitflies in soil

Dear growers community,

I was advised to add some banana peel and lemon to the soil for acidity and extra potassium. As a result the soil has fruitflies now, and i'm growing indoors.

Is this something to worry about? and if yes, what is the solution?
I've been looking up info about nematodes but didn't find anything specific relating to fruitflies.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

LOL shoot they fly around my counter when the bananas get over ripe. Man that's a good idea but not indoor soil with rotten food wastes and it really needs to be broken down before it's useful. But those gnats are harmless i get them when i make my soil but they die within a few days.
