Frisian duck

Hey guys!

I saw some colleague shown one of nice strains like Duck foot, so I would like to share with You with another one. It's a Frisian duck! 5 week in flowering and looking good :) seems all be ok except ripening! Strain used to fast ripening on the end of flowering, but still it's kind a strange when no visible trichomes on a 5 week :)

Well yes :) but it will take one more year to stabilize it. There is a lot of work but fruits will be totally amazing! Anyway, does anyone had experience with Frisian duck? Any ideas why this strain is delay in ripening?

If I'm not mistaken the duck strains are mostly sativa, not uncommen to see trich development late in the game with sativa dominent strains! Not 100% sure on the genetics just going based on stuff I've read before, I could be wrong! It's a beautiful plant though!

I would agree with u, but I'm having several plants in lab under LED and they are the same.. so I guess they just late to mature.. in any case it's totally uncommon for me so just playing around to see what finish will be.

Hey eCa,

Very, very nice plant. I've always been interested in the more obscure strains. I just received an Auto Viking Sativa bean from Norden Seed's. She's a very different looking plant. I also bought two Ruderalis Indica regular seed's. Looking to get a male from the R.I. to do some breeding.

Good karma,

Hi DirtyNerd,

Thank You! Passing the days I have noticed that trich are popping up! So she began to mature! Oh! That's cool, will wait for photos of that nice plant! Must be awesome, that's for sure! I hope your breeding will succeed and You will share with beans :) :) haha😀 btw, why you don't just use CS for getting male pollen sacks?

Hey guys! Seems to be something not right... 7 week of flowering and still not much trichomes... any ideas? I'm totally confused.. wrote email to Dutch Passion, but they can't say nothing about it. Maybe someone from You had a something like this with other strains? I'm becoming pissed off... hrrrr!

No Title

Update. Seems I wasn't right, my bad.. trichomes are popping up. But those are very tiny and kinda strange colours..

Maybe.. not sure as this is a first try with this strain.. shes surprising me every week... some of them milky that's right and some of them are purple.. so I'm bit lost and not sure when to harvest. Maybe Nebula could help with her experience? :)

At Dutch Passion :) but get ready be nervous as this strain behave totally different from usual strains... It's so difficult to find right answers so I'm forced build my own experience.

Isn't it neat when the trichomes themselves turn purple? If there's few/no clears you're in the harvest window. Just from looking at the buds they look pretty ready to me, even when I zoom in to see the trichomes! You could probably harvest whenever it is most convenient to you!

Frisian Duck is one of the best strains for outdoors! I'm not sure if you got any green ones (only some plants turn purple, the rest are green), but whichever color the effects are stupendous :)

Haha, thank You Nebula! As the low temps came starting from this night, I think harvest today.. at night I have 0-1 degrees in Celsius outside and something about 2-3 degrees in greenhouse, but girls seems still to be good. No sign of cold or something. Well, all of mine has been purple, I have about 6 girls :) maybe was a good luck for me!
