This is a long story, folks. Yes, Yahoo! sucks on many levels, even resorting to extortion. Yes, Outlook sucks on many levels without periphery inclusion. Hackers and scammers... yeeeeaaahhh...
But I allowed India to download something on my computer even though my little voice told me not to. I know computers. My first was an Atari Pong machine, or that's what we called it because we only ever played Pong on it. Then a Commodore Vic 20, Apple IIC, and various other machines. My last job was architecture and teaching AutoCAD, Revit, and 3DStudio Max.
But I'll be goddamned if I don't understand what the fuck is going on these days with the evil that comes from computers. Didn't have a cell phone until my mom died and I took hers. Didn't start paying bills online until ten years ago...
Maaannn... I want to keep on ranting, but it doesn't do anything. Doesn't even make me feel better. Places like that in India will keep scamming. Laws are sketchy and punishment is laughable. If someone is ever convicted for doing wrong to me, punishment will be doled out to satisfy every loophole lying lawyers can find so the government is happy. I, a victim, get no justice. Victims never get to dole out punishment.
So, a little news, the occasional email, and a marijuana pornography site will be the crux of my computer life.

I was living in Redbluff CA when I hit a news group and mass down loaded stuff (after a large software package) from it only to find the downloads were full of kiddy porn, fuck now all that shit is on my machine fuck! Pulled out a 3.5 floppy (remember floppy disks?) with DOS 6.x on it, power cycled the machine, typed "fdisk" and deleted the partition, created 3 new partitions and formatted them, rebooted the machine and again fdisk create 1 partition and format. At this time I called the internet provider, gave them the addy of the news group and told them its full of child porn. They started telling me how to clean my machine, I told them I had it under control, after the format was done I spent the next 3 days putting software back on the damn thing. I did go back to the news group to see what if anything had been done, its was empty! Cool maybe little ol me made a small difference!
These days it's all about the money if you have it it's all good, if you dont ~~~~~~.

I agree with you about the money thing. I have enough to survive. Never be able to save a dime. I've had a heap, it made me happy, but it also stressed me out to see it go away. Bah! Wants vs. needs. Bah!!
By definition, the US cannot be a third world country. Maybe, perhaps, when the civil war/revolution happens, we will be a third world country because we will no longer be united. We're just getting more fucked up as time goes on. I blame social media and the first amendment.

No-no. I remember cassette tapes for computer programming. Before the floppy. Spent hours hunt-and-pecking programs out of some computer programming magazine of the day. I hated syntax errors more than girls.
8-tracks were not before my time, but they met their demise in my time. Dad could only hear from one ear so didn't care so much about music and was fine with radio. Mom sang opera and all her stuff was on vinyl.
