We assume something swallowed stays swallowed. Boba was swallowed, but he also escaped.
Now, as far as Rwise 's comment about escaping out the a~, he did. See, the sarlacc is what we on Earth would classify as a type of Platyhelminthes. A Platyhelminthes is a type of animal that uses the same hole for eating as it does pooping.

Mother-in-law? Same gaping maw. Same vorarephobic reactions from children. Sarlacc probably smelled better, but I was never there. Should be kept isolated in the desert for obvious reasons.
