COCO COIR Frankie Goes To Hollywood

Yes, it's an OZ x SD.

I watched it grow beside the Red CBD x AK47 Autos and it looked identical to them in every way but with larger fans than the 3 autos, wider fingers and slightly larger plant as in winning the race.

But it has the least developed preflower. Today will tell

Oh weird, the oz x sd should NOT be auto, ever. There was an earlier generation of oz that should have some autos. Interested to see how this unfolds

I'll just add that there has been no noticeable stretch on any of the 5 plants. I'm still giving only veg nutes w/silica and also a humic and fulvic acid cal/mag suppliment.

All 5 are showing a blue fringing to the leaf tips and margins (not easy to photograph but looks really cool), 4 are looking quite strong and healthy, zero signs of problems. The mutant looks like a mutant, slightly lighter green in color, almost half the size of the other four, clearly this one has a learning disability.

Training commenced 12 hours ago and all bud sites are now best set for light and stretch, except for the mutant.

Bottom pic OZ x photo blue fringing highlighted. Nice big fat fans on this one.

Well I thought there may have been a possibility that I mixed them up because I moved them around so the mutant got least light but you only sent me four auto seeds of the red cbd x ak47 and the two red cbd x red cbd , one didnt germinate the other was really slow to germinate and it stalled as a seedling. It has to be the OZ x sd photo, so perhaps it is not in preflower..the pics tell the story, maybe too early to tell. It hasn't shown any preflower advancement like the others though so let's see

All got an extra shot of PK on top of reduced veg nutes yesterday.
Today the 4 autos got a 1.6 EC pH 6 of veg & bloom nutes DLI 40
The photo is not in preflower Franklin I think I jumped the gun. Veg nutes only today DLI 38 EC 1.5 pH 5.9

All got humic & fulvic acid cal/mag suppliment @ around 1ml/ltr and silica @2.5ml/ltr

Temps 79⁰F RH 62%ish

Roots coming out the bottom of the pots except the mutant.

No problems but they are getting tired last 30 minutes before lights out. Autos seem to be stretching a fraction now but hard to tell. About day 35 since sprout

pic below at lights on

They have started to stretch or the photo OZ x is getting shorter. I really need to top that photo but my DIY Aeroponics Cloner is still a work in progress...it's a 3hr return trip just to get the parts and the trip isn't on for another week.

The lights had only gone on 1 min prior to the pic.

1 of the autos is looking tired 3 hours before lights off atm...the other 3 look good, so does the photo. Midday they all look great. Not stressing them with light, perhaps a fraction overwatered on the tired one but still zero runoff on that one in coco....pretty much almost zero runoff on them all.

I've tried to keep light back around 36 DLI on these autos, they didn't like 40DLI and were falling asleep a few hours before lights out.

About 4 or 5 days into stretch and the first of the autos to preflower, it's also now the tallest, has begun to show some fade creeping in at the bottom, which is way too early in my head so am upping the EC from 1.5 to 1.7 with an extra shot of ¾ veg ¼/bloom/cal/mag for all of the autos. Haven't watered to runoff yet so will do that this watering.

Fading auto below

WW x SD removed from papertowel 2 days ago and put in 50ltr pot. Broke cover today and collies just opened under closed dome. No H²O² this time.....so shouldn't stall out on me as 10 or so previous seedlings.
Still another dozen sativa seeds on papertowel at the same time as the WW x SD. Nothing popped yet. These are old now. Patience grasshopper.

I use a vertical germinator but if you have any old CD cases around you can use those as a crude vertical germinator. If you would like to buy one I have someone that makes them on his 3d printer. Let me know.

I've seen what you use and it looks great but I've always had great success with papertowel and then transfer sprout straight to medium, except when I've used H²O², which appears to stuff with almost everything a seed is designed to do, ie., twisted to bits reticles, no root filaments, perhaps even loss of direction re up and down.

I suspect the seed I just popped will do fine without the H²O². The other seeds are really going to struggle to germinate and are going to take a long time the ones that do.

Thanks. I appreciate the offer

Pic of the plant first up that displayed a fade, probably calcium deficiency. Was on the edge of a cal deficiency with these autos from the start, the photo no such problem.
I've increased EC to 1.8 and have been supplementing with a calmag from the start but only in small doses. I may have to lower the base nutes and up the calmag because I think 1.8 EC may be about its limit. Light intensity to around 38DLI now on the autos and low 30s on the photo.

This one below a tad overwatered as I gave it a good dose

Below the other auto and the mutant....no problems with this auto and mutant coming along at its own pace

Mutant top pic.
Below photoperiod...no issues EC 1.5

All have been given their first runoff these last two waters since the start of the grow with high EC which is why a couple of them are looking a tad droopy from the overwater. All autos got a foliar spray of calmag supp EC 0.4 pH6.4. I probably could have gone double that.

New seedling below under well ventilated dome. EC 0.4. Its looking like stalling. I ventilated the dome on opening of the cotyledons and will remove tomorrow. Room RH is 62% 22/25 night day.

The autos have reacted well to an extra shot of bloom nutes I gave a few days ago and last four feeds upping the veg nutes to 1.8 with extra calmag with a decent amount of runoff. No nute burn showing. I'll be going over to bloom nutes soon progressively but want to make sure I get enough calmag into the coco so will probably just up the EC a bit with extra calmag. It's an organic product and shouldn't impact the plants negatively by locking out other nutes at these levels. Fingers crossed.
DLI on the autos now is 40/42 at the tops (not the mutant, i need to lift it up as its topped)
My WW x SD seedling stalled or damped I think they call it. Never had it happen in all my soil grows and it didnt happen to my last 15 to 20 sprouts I popped straight into the coco in my last two coco grows I didnt lose one sprout. I don't know what has gone wrong.

It's not doing anything. Still looks just as good as it did 3 days ago. No change at all. I'm feeding it twice a day still 0.4 EC pH 6 but I'm not sure why I'm bothering. Even given it a couple of foliar sprays... it's like it just froze in time.

Can ultrasonic misters cause problems with seedlings? I have one running in the room.

Maybe it wasn't the H²O²

Got about 10 of my seeds on papertowel atm....looks like one may pop soon....some of these seeds are really old and might take a couple of weeks

Seedling today frozen in time. Looking mighty healthy but NOT!

And the rest steaming along now

DLI 42/44 on the autos, mutant needs a lift for more light (DLI 28) and photo only getting about 30DLI. Temps 22/25 RH 60%

They loved the boost in EC. Now 1.8 still veg only nutes but adding calmag (15ml/10ltrs) and silica at 25ml/10ltrs.

Those have come a long way. They got the color and look to be healthy. The short one seems to be missing a trait or two from its parents??

The short one on the right is the OZ x photoperiod (no stretch)

The short one on the left is the mutant that I think I chemically topped at the first node with too strong a nute mix. It's a tad lighter green and it's development is behind the others. Everything about it is smaller except for its canopy size.

The auto that first showed a bit of fade is now showing a couple of rust spots on a few leaves. Damn. I'll up the pH a fraction and up the calmag across all autos and drop back the nutes a fraction, maybe.

Unbelievable. The seedling has decided to start growing after a week of nothing. EC 0.4

Autos now EC 1.9 with a strong calmag suppliment and another additon of PK. pH 6.1
Everything given a foliar spray
