Foxtailing for 12+ weeks

Greetings everyone. I have an Indica Ala Mode from Free World Genetics that will not stop growing. It keeps putting out new foxtails evenly throughout the entire plant, high and low. Breeder says 7-8 weeks flowering and I am now past 12 WEEKS flowering. Never seen one do this. I am not complaining because the buds are getting huge, but it just won't stop putting out calyces with fresh white pistils all over the buds..daily. I changed the light from 12/12 to 10/14 over a week ago and it has not slowed it down.
Leaves are fall yellow and the older ones have died and fallen off. You can see the color of the leaves in the pics.

Coco-perlite
GH trio plus calmag following Nebula's nutrient schedule at half strength with pH at 5.8.
Cloth 5 gallon cloth put.
2024 SF 2x2x5 tent with the latest SF 1000 dimmable LED. I bought the entire kit.
Temp 74-80.

NOTE: For the water only days, I am using a teaspoon of molasses and a 1/8 teaspoon of Liqui-Dirt. I do this to most of my plants, but not had this never-ending growth.

GWE says normal and healthy if foxtails are all evenly placed, which they are. But 3 months into flower?

Look at the trichomes on the buds with a magnifier. What color are they? From your pics they look ready to harvest unless you like a lot of amber.

Nothin left to do but smile, smile, smile. Keep doing what you are doing. They look ready from here but pix are only a guide. Look at the trichs for how you like them. Have a talk with the plants and ask them if it is time, they will tell you if you listen. Chop now or later you won't be disappointed. How is the temperature and humidity? Keep them low if you can. Consider diming the light to keep them cool. Be vigilant for distress in the buds and bud rot. If you see it cut out the rot and take them all fast. If you don't know what it looks like, look it up on GWE. Once you see it and you know what to look for it is easy to see. Harvest is close, tay a pention.

Trichs are white, no amber yet. Is it normal to go this long in flower though? They have looked like this for a couple months now and won't stop. I am going to let them keep going until they stop putting out foxtails and white hairs I guess. Just never seen a plant keep growing the buds like this and not slowing down. I will post cured pics so you can see what it turned out to be. Just a little weird.

I've had trouble with foxtails before and found my issue to be too hot environment and too much PPFD specially with a decent SF full spectrum led. Some strains are more prone to foxtailing as well apparently..
Edit: pretty sure I also read something about if you have any light entering your grow when it's supposed to be dark even as much as an led light on a heater or cooler can be enough to confuse the plant.....

I believe some indicas don't amber alot but that does not mean the potency and other characteristics don't change. First sign of all frost and potency levels are at peek is what I go by. More time means change, THC levels start degradation at first sign of color. Fox tailing can be genetics if uniform, otherwise the THC levels decrease in this event.

Fire up the chainsaw! It’s time to harvest!!

The issue is probably genetic if your environment is ok. I have had a few gardens White Widow where the foxtail like that, but the Norther Lights (huge favorite of mine) doesn’t get them. If you wait for all the white hairs to turn brown, you will be waiting until December LOL.

Check the trichs and start your pre-harvest plans.

No ambers yet. I check daily. Not sure if it can turn amber since the outside of ALL the buds, high and low, have fresh lime green growth coming out daily. Thick juicy green foxtails No light leaks and temps between 75 and 80. I am going to let it keep going. I know it cannot go on for much longer as all of the primary leaves are all Fall colors and fading fast. At some point it has to ripen one would think just by lack of photosynthesis. Very strange.

They look good.

I'd say your in the harvest window now it's just down to what you want.

If you want to get high wait for all clear trichomes to turn cloudy=milky, if you want more chill get some amber.

Good job

I will 2nd that and I have grown a few but they were all Sativa's. On the other hand I dont grow many Indica's

There are good foxtails and there are bad foxtails. The bad ones would make your buds look like shit covered in new white pistals so I think those are the good ones. Except when it comes to trimming, They will be a pain in the ass. Yes the bad ones are usually caused from neat and light stress.

I went back and looked at your pictures and I see old brown pistils and new white ones. How long ago did the white ones start?

From the pictures the breeder posted I would say that strain is prone to foxtail. How do the trichs look? From here I would say they are very close
P.S. Breeders lie about floweting times

Trichs look amazing...very dense and white. I agree about the breeders lying, but this now 13 weeks and no signs of slowing down to ripen. Never seen a plant take this long. I am going to open a can of patience and see what happens.

Some strains can take 100 days + to ripening. Growing conditions also impact timeframes.

I believe there are some strains where the trichs do not turn amber, widow I think. The genetics always surprise us.

Thats true with all living things I think. If not why am I so tall, funny, and handsome and hes runt with an attitude

Your mama fed your arse steroids, that's why. My mama was a short drunk whore who got knocked up by a cajun, ah we bit Irish too. Yep, I'm either drunk or fighting. Genetics are a b........
