I use ocean forest, and have big bloom , tiger bloom and grow big. In the past (15 years ago) i also used beasty bloom, cha ching and open seasame. now i see they have added all the orange stuff,
does anyone use all of these? I feel like when i feed on their schedule i end up burning my plants. maybe they had all the other stuff back then but i ended up burning my plants with just the green and purple ones, would like to know about others use of these

I just use the big three.(green). In my opinion the rest are just extra crap to screw things up. I'm really unhappy with the consistency of their soils. I have a bag of happy frog that I had to start adding nutes at two weeks and another that was N toxic thru veg and half of bloom. Just too unpredictable. I'd use coco but I'm gone for three or four days at a time so that's out. MG organic might be the next option.

I used FF soil for years but I never used their nutes. I use Blue Planet organic nute trio at half strength with good results. I also think all the extra stuff is a waste of money. A good rule of thumb for any nute schedule is to start at half strength, see how the plants react and adjust accordingly. Nute companies almost always recommend way to much. Like Bowhunterwoody said FF soil has really gone down in quality and consistency. I started mixing my own soil about 6 months ago and l love it, should have done it years ago. Still haven't got the recipe exactly right but getting close

Oh man, I went coco and found myself away from my grows at least 5 out of 7 days so got myself a tank and automated it and everything else. It worked a treat first time and got 3lb10oz from 3 decent plants and a mutant. Hadn't automated anything before that, ever.

Necessity is the mother of invention they say.

Used to make my own soil here for years and almost always had a bit low N mid to late flower so would top dress with some compost and water in with a seaweed extract around once a fortnight. That worked well.

Bluey do you have a thread on your coco and automation?
can anyone recommend a resource for learning coco? What nutes do you use with coco?

I am on first run so have almost full bottles of the ff green trio, would like to use them up.

Couple of grow threads posted below.

For automation you need to work out what products are available where you are and research them. There's a lot to it but when you get it sorted you can sit back a relax a little.

What is great is I run full climate control which is cheating. You end up with some of the best weed possible.
