Fox farms nutes silica

I was hoping one of the botanist guys on here might be able to shed some light on this for me. I contacted fox farms to ask them if they offered a silica additive. The rep told me they do not but told me their kelp me kelp you product will provide the same effect. Does this sound right?

it doesn't sound right to me but I have never used there kelp, does it say it has silica in it

Get some diathomeus earth. It kills bugs and it’s all natural silica. It’s a powder but you can mix a bit with your water to feed

Not that I see. And she didn’t say that it does. Says the kelp produces the same effect. I’ve been using silica and the kelp this whole grow and can tell I have good strong branches. With no bad effects just wondering if I’m wasting the silica if I’m getting the effect from the kelp.

I’ve heard this, I’m currently using a raw silica powder with my nute feedings.

After doing some more research it does sound like the benefits of kelp are very similar to the benefits of silica with some additional benefits. I’ll just continue using them both.
