SOIL Fourth time a Charm

This is my fourth attempt and the last three were disastrous. This plant was topped off once and FIMM'd a total of four times during the vegetation cycle which was 89 days. This is a strain called "Lennon". What did I do different - "When in doubt, go back to first principles", I felt there was a synergistic effect going on when I was mixing my NPK and seaweed nutrients together. I separated them and cut dosages to about 20% of recommendations and that was it, Vola.

The picture you see is as of 18/12 and its the start of Week III of the 12/12 cycle. The plant is 510 MM tall (20 inches). Its been growing at the rate of about 5MM per day, very slowly. I water it every 7-10 days and starting the next one, will be switching to something lower in Nitrogen, a NPK of 1:3:3. I was planning to feed it just seaweed in between the NPK ones. I have a 400 MM table fan on 24 hours a day at low speed for air circulation. I have not seen any discoloration of the leaves (through the cycle), except for a few fan leaves. There's an exhaust in the room if needed.

The Q I have from this group, what words of wisdom can you share that I can follow, to ensure a bumper crop. Do I tie down the two main stalks growing to expose more light to the ones below? I cannot still tell the sex of the plant, though it looks like a female. The lighting is not exotic, just two LED bulbs for a total of 80 W right on top. Thanks in advance and keeping my fingers crossed.

You need more light.

Although the top leaves look happy the bottom leaves are hardly getting any light and are suffering from nute burn as a result. You can cut off the lowest 3 or 4 branches showing necrosis on the leaves, they won't produce anything.

A third LED bulb will probably be enough to keep small colas happy but if you want large buds you will need two times that at least with a proper grow light. You could then use your LED bulbs under the canopy.

---------- Unfortunately the grow lights like one gets in the US or EU are not available where I am at. The only viable solution as I see it, is to buy an adjustable table lamp and have it lower pointed up at a 45 degree angle. Not sure how big a bulb I can get in those, but beats nothing. There are a lot of lights for construction and builders that are LED, maybe you could find something like that would get you more power. Maybe not as good a a grow light like we have in North America but maybe better than what you have

Highbay LED lights also work fine as grow lights and they might be available where you are. Best to go for multiple lights of a lower wattage than one really high wattage.

Bluey, took your suggestion and got a third light. The top two are about eight inches from the top of the plant (guess I can lower it some more; the top of the plants are cool to touch with the lights on). You can see a third light, guess I can add one more on the opposite end. That's my crude setup with what I got. I did chop off the lower four branches off.
