So the way I do things is and u might find this works for you. I give my plants fresh nutes every week do a full res change. I know u all ready do this.
But in flower they drink more than the res can hold so I am topping up at lets once a week right now twice. I do this with fresh ph ed water no nutes.
So I am kinda flushing every week. At the end of flower I have found no need to flush and I have done up to 10 days of flushing with no difference at all.
Flawless Finish is what I use. It's gotten good reviews in a variety of articles. Seems to work well here. But then, I haven't tried anything else for comparison.
I don't care to take too many chances at that stage of the grow.
Jason Hi, New Guy here, Paracelsus. Any reason for not doing Molasses in Hydro. I'd like to know the science. Some growers have written they do it after the flush or even during it at the end. Tha'ts something I don't understand.
Jason, I have used molasses in my hydroponics before without any bad effects. I now use the GH Floralicious Plus (1 ml per gallon) instead and with better results. The plants can take up the sugars and vitamins that are in the molasses, in soil, it helps to feed the micro organisms that help out the plants.
I've read that molasses has so many organic ingredients that it can result in unwanted things growing in your nutrient solution.
Sugar in particular invites more than a few pilgrim microbes that don't help our girls. And my clone source who's been doing this since the late '80's here and in
the Netherlands, says no molasses. He was with Monsanto before he went to the Netherlands. I just listen and follow directions.
