HELP! Flowering question?

I was just wondering if a street light at night can affect the veg to flower phase? My plants look great but it's already September and flowering has not started yet. Living in Oregon does not give me to much more time. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.
 
BIODTL45....Yes..i do believe it can. Im positive i read about it on GWE....a streetlight can effect veg to flower..or slow it down... Im sure somebody here will direct you to the proper article. homegrown. gonna have to shimmy up that pole and spray paint that light.! ha..
 
Yes it will, I used the light from a single porch light (60 w eq led) to get mine into veg (@ 30 feet away), can you put up a curtain to block said light?
I knew I had to block light from a street light, I have morning glories on a fence, a natural curtain,,,
 
Morning from So. Oregon. Yes to moveing your plant away from bright street light or shooting it out LOL just kidding. I'm at the edge of a forest and have 5 photos in flowering stage and 1 that's 5+ft and still has not began to even preflower. So here's my thought and I purchased ALL fem seeds. This one not flowering and has no light on it is growing more like a male. Long spacing between leaf sets. I'm just waiting it out, but for your issue the light is bad for flowering.

So my question to this is how far away does the yard light have to be... AND what about lightening. I know it's silky but we had alit of it last night.
 
cannabis demands an uninterrupted dark cycle. Just as your good REM sleep would be interrupted if a light popped on at 2 a.m., cannabis doesn’t fare well when any light disturbs it during its dark “sleep” cycle. The moon and stars don’t bother cannabis, but any artificial light can stop its bud growth. In fact, light interrupting its dark cycles can make cannabis so stressed and irritable that it can lead to hermaphroditism. That can pollinate females and ruin your plants.

I know a well respected indoor California guy who has some light leakage through a doorway and had the plants near that leakage go hermie from that very minimal leak
 
I hope not!!! FWIW, I doubt lightning affects the plants, btw. It seems like natural sources of light (other than the sun) don’t effect the plants. I’d worry more about the street light.
 
That would be great s62. My hubby says our yard light at least 300 ft away. So hopefully that won't do anything to the plant..and it is only turned on if we hear weird noises outside..we live in the country.

When you begin to think back on how old this plant is, and the millennia it has survived... I’ll bet there was a full moon or two in those few thousand years... your job in insuring it’s growth and enjoying those perks is all you could ask for.and you know you’ve done that
