SOIL First Top

Well i finally bit the bullet and topped my 2 Fat banana plants, probably a little later than i should have done but it's done lol. In making my decision where to top i just looked down the nodes to see where i was getting good growth so ended up taking top off just 2 nodes down off biggest and just a node down on the smaller one. Pics below as always (i like pics lol)

My Critical crack that i've now nicknamed Raggedy Ann i left as i just don't know where to start or what quite to do with her. She's getting really bushy on one side and has quite a few possible top sites where she was missing leaves so i did a little light defoliation (removed 3 leaves hehe) just from the bottom of stem and left it at that for now, could do with here stretching a little so i can see whats going on.

You’ll get plants like that last one from time to time where they grow all bunched up and tight. I like to carefully remove all the big fan leaves so I can see what’s going on then LST everything down so it’ll spread out. It’s hard at first when they’re small and so bunches up just keep at it as it grows. Plants that start like that usually produce quality bud so it’s worth the extra attention.

The last plant took the brunt of a light falling, took some of the top and side off so the one side is now getting bushy from the extra light. I'm going to transplant them all this week when my pots arrive so I'm holding off any lst until then. I'm hoping that by that time it will grow out a bit.

Good job and great pics. I could see the glistening ooze coming out of the cut stem. Down the road you'll have no problems judging trichs with that camera.

Here's a couple of pics i took earlier of the first plant in pic above just over 48hrs since top. Seems to be coming along nicely now. Did a little bit of lst last night to hold the top fan leaves down a little to allow lower branches to come through.
