First time

This is my first ever plant, its supposedly called London Pound Cake, 70% Indica, 30% Sativa. I am very worried about it, seems like it is getting a disease or something. The new growth is suddenly a really bright green that looks way different than all the leaves. It gets only RO water and flora nova grow 1 tbsp per gallon. I give it about 2-3 gallons of water every 3 days. I was doing 2 but it is slowly getting bigger I moved up to 3 but maybe this is too much? Every time I go out there, I see at least one-horse fly chomping on the leaves. There are little holes in a few of the leaves probably from the disease carrying flies. It is growing in the bag of dirt, called formula 707 I think. They said it was good at the store and the bag said I could grow with that instead of smart pot, oops, big mistake. It is 19 gallons of questionable quality dirt. I cut holes in the bottom like it said, and there is grass growing around the base of the bag. It doesn't get that hot, or at least it doesn't feel hot. It gets sunlight all day long except for the first half hour of sunrise. I have not seen many other bugs. I thought it was a good idea to tie the branches so that they get light on the inside but now I am not so sure. I think maybe it's making it grow weird. It's in northern California, been pretty hot, I cover it when it gets really hot when I'm home at least. I have cut off like 20 fan leaves because they were in the dirt or not looking healthy or in the middle. It really stinks because it was doing really good and now it has some disease or I'm doing something wrong. I think it is probably fixable, I read these are strong plants. Does anyone know what's wrong with it?

Hey man welcome to the forum :) what i'm seeing is early preflower i mean early. Now you have done a wonderful job keeping her health. Check her really good for little skinny like pencil lead catipillars they crawl on stems and stalks. Some of them are bigger, mine last year were pencil lead size and green had to inspect daily. No i think your OK with that bag, but next season do get a fabric pot but you gotta know it is gonna take almost daily attention at least every other day when it hit's 100f. Yes hard to see or say what critter is taking bites. Your doing fine. Now as she start's to stretch and she's gonna do that soon beginning preflower you may see lighter green growth but should get darker. They drink alot at this stage. Good luck i don't think she looks bad as you think.;)
