It appears too early to tell with this plant. Even when I enlarge the photo there is no indication of gender yet. If you go to the GWE website you can see the growing topic "male vs female plants" which has a lot of data. As a first time grower I would not try too hard to determine gender until you have switched to flower for a little while. If this is the only plant in the tent there is little harm until waiting for visible bud or pollen sacs to develop. It is hard to tell exactly how tall the plant is by this picture but it certainly appears robust enough to switch to a flowering schedule now. While we all want as big a plant as possible with the biggest buds, running out of room can be a big problem. The 1.6 meters has to take the lamp into account and how far the plant needs to be. Do you have LED, HPS or other? You don't want your top buds to get burnt. I was very surprised at how tall my plants grew when I changed the light schedule. Err on the side of going a little early . Especially if you do not know the strain you are growing. Some stretch much more than others.

Its 400watt mh but will swap to a 400 hps is there nething i shud do be fore the switch will post a better photo of a close up

Fairly healthy looking plant, do you know what's going on with those yellow bits on the leaves? You'll probably want to address whatever is causing that before you switch to 12/12.

We're all friendly around here & love as much detail and as many pics as possible on what everyone has going on.

Looks like a smart pot you have there, what size is it?
What medium are you using Soil? Coco? any extra stuff you've added to it like perlite etc?
What nutrients are you using, if any?
What is your feeding/watering schedule?
Are you checking pH? If so, what is it going in when you wanter, and what is the runoff pH?
Tent temps & RH?
Magnetic or digital ballast?
How high is your light? 400W should be about 35cm above your plant

Not sure if its nutrient burn i jus stsrted to flush it and gave some cal mag watering i dnt really have a schedule jus ever few days if the top half inch is dry or so i water it nutes are just a veg grow ph normally between 6.5 7 temps between 70 n 80 Fahrenheit just in soil nuthing flash no perlight using magnetic ballast light was about 18 inches. I jus took some clones off it just in case it was female ne more feer back and advice wud be good mate

I think if it was nute burn it would be located more towards the tips of the leaves. My guess would be possibly having spilled some water on the leaves, or maybe pH fluctuations. Do you measure the pH of any water that comes out of the bottom of the pot? You could be watering at the right pH but something could be off at the roots.

We have the same brand ballast.

I'm currently using the Grow Lush 600W HPS magnetic ballast.
Just bought a Lumatek 400V 600W digital ballast though, might get here by the end of the week if I'm lucky.

Altho wen it was younger outside i caterpillar did get inti it a bit and did try heal it self it cud be that

next time you water/feed, whenever that may be water until a bit of water comes out the bottom of the pot (sit the pot on a pot saucer or in a tub or bucket or something to collect the water in) and check the pH of that water. Use your pH pen, drops, test strips, whatever you use to check pH of water going in.

I'll try that nex time i water any other tips or tricks wud be good

watering pH should be between 6 & 7 for soil.
pH 6.3-6.8 would be better I think but anywhere between 6 & 7 is good.

Your runoff water should be between roughly 6.3-6.8. If it's almost at 7 then water at pH 6-6.3 until it goes down into the good range. If it's low around 6 then water between 6.8-7 until the runoff pH rises a bit.

Have you got flowering nutes for when you switch over to bloom?

No not yet i ordered b5 vitamins gunna order some nutes for flower shud i do the switch now or wait hope its female cant get ne more seeds ir clones

Ne tips on growing in coco gunna try that nex with rock wool cubes

you can switch it to flower if you like. or you can let it get a bit bigger. Don't cut youself short of height though

wouldn't let it get much bigger than 40cm from soil to top of plant before flowering, 50cm max but may run into problems.

check out GWE articles and the links to my two grows in coco for more info.

I've never used rockwool though.
