What are these Quantum Boards everyone is talking about?

My tent size will be 2x2x4-6. I intend to stick to autos for the foreseeable future.

I was looking at these 2 lights based on cost and reviews and I think I've seen them mentioned in other posts. If you have other suggestions I'm open.

All of my experience is space buckets with auto fem easy grow low odor strains from Nirvana (blue mystic, northern lights, OG lights)
Since I've only ever ordered from Nirvana I'm comfortable doing so again. Do I stick with the place I know or is there a best must place everyone else orders from?
I want to branch out from the strains I know now that I'll be able to control odor with a carbon filter.

Looking for small humidifier suggestions from you small tent growers.

Thank you all in advance for replies!

I dont use quantum boards but I have used LEDS ,I went with 6 300w leds for my auto room and it took awhile to figure out why I could only get 2 ounces per plant ,I have seen people using 450 leds that have COB lights these seem to be much better than just Leds ,I think you doing just whats needed and are looking for good informational/experiences

So would the 450w versions of either of those 2 lights be the better option? I didn't think I needed more than 1 light for that size tent

Hi Randy2310...for my first grow I used a Gorilla Lite 2x2x6.5 tent. I grew two plants using the HLG v2 4k 100 LED for the whole grow. Worked like a champ. Those lights cost about $150.

That's it, you linked the 3000k model. That one will flower better but you'll get a bit more internodal spacing. The 4000k model will veg better and stretch less. It's too bad they don't have a 3500k as that's generally regarded as about the best color temp if you want to run 1 the whole way through. Either one will be a great light and get you from seed to harvest nicely.

That's the 4000k model. 4000k leans a little toward the blue side of the color temp, 3000k leans to the red. Either one will take you all the way.

For the same size tent as yours I am using Viperspectra PAR600. I think only one 300W wouldn't be sufficient. PAR450 is a good choice but I will suggest something in 600W. You can get UL certified 600W. I did good read on Viperspectra so can say a thing or two about them.
