First Kind Soil Grow Journal

Man they all like super, and so many buds to fatten up! Love the room shot, and all those twinkling stars! I'm doing Kind now...love it completely, and probably will be using it for all my future indoor grows. 😊 Enjoy the exciting times ahead for you! 🌿

those look great thumbless!...oh man, that is SUCH a good idea about buying pollen!! i wonder how could we try to make that happen

Just came across this journal and subscribed! The buds look like they're really fattening up, with a lot more growth left!

I was wondering, would you mind if I published your male and pollen pictures to the website? I really like how you have a coin for scale and your pictures look great! I think it might be helpful to other growers who might not know what to expect :)

Weekly update: 01/17/17

GREETINGS to my fellow growers.

I want to thank all that put efforts into growing this plant. Successful or failure it kicks the ball a little more down the field and we can't let momentum stop now. This forum and the GWE website are always a great place to keep you honest on your grows. Just pay attention.

Hope all of you have your meds planned out for Friday. I may have a cocktail of every Indica leaning strain I have. Enough of this...we have an awesome grow room to look at!

As this is a Kind Soil test grow I will start by saying this is some incredible stuff. If you have a decent system and have a little knowledge this stuff rocks and the following pictures will prove it. Highly recommend as I can't see anything changing as I go forward. I have not changed the watering routine and I think this has been key to some of the success.

I will finish off the male plant as all the pollen I need has been harvested and the plant has been nearly devoured by my worms. Cool! As you can see the male flowers turned a little purple due to it getting near freezing for a couple of nights in the garage. *NEBULA* of course you may use any picture I have. Small price for the awesome website and this growing forum. Happy to contribute!

Jack Herer

Day 38 in flowering

This plant is still having problems as is evident in one of the pictures, but it still continues to grow. Look at that frosting! This plant is going to put out some tasty smoke.

Incredible Bulk is living up to its name. This girl is going to have some FAT buds.

Super Lemon Haze

Day 47 in flowering

The training on this plant is paying off as the number of bud sites are insane. Now to get her to fatten up the last two to three weeks.

As you can see this is a pretty successful grow to date. I give credit to Kind Soil and GWE website for constantly giving ideas for the next step. Mainlining has already started on a clone of the Super Lemon Haze and I have started a Glueberry O.G. from Dutch Passion that will be trained this way. The Glueberry photo may be one of the first in the U.S. to be grown as it became available on the first. Got lucky to get it in a Black Friday deal from Seedsman. I am hoping to have time to document this grow as well.

Until next Tuesday...stay Dank!

Nebula. Absolutely, you may use any photo you want of mine. If you need it in any other form or size let me know.

Rockman...Thanks man. Stuff is awesome.

Bob...Yeah there has to be a market.

Insane grows you got going on there and great pics too! 🐸 As a fellow Kind grower, I can say I'm definitely hooked...such a supportive medium for all phases of my auto (maybe a wee bit of burn when small). And the ease of just watering and training is right up my alley! So good to see your fabulous results...thanks and enjoy all that fine medication!! 🙌

Thank you sir! This stuff is the shits isn't it? I have done up my own batch of super soil and am using it now in another grow. I am really exploring this organic way of growing with living soil. Nebula's Sunday newsletter this week was awesome on this subject.

Yes indeed...it was great to see her cover this super way to grow! I'm throwing together lots of aged compost and worm castings for a homemade soil for all of my many summer grows this year. Getting excited already! 🐸

thumbless, me too! i had already gotten it underway--using a tarp until i get my feet wet-- when Nebula's newsletter showed up in my inbox---it was so fortuitous i was like, well this can only be a good sign.....

Weekly Update: 01/24/2017

I hope all affected by the storms in the South on Sunday came through with little worries. We lost power for about 24 hours but got the generator going a few hours after we lost it. Nothing to get your paranoia up like a flower room in full bloom with no filtration. The ladies survived well and back on schedule. Had a pine tree come through my storage shed but luckily nothing was damaged inside. Scary stuff.

I will start this weeks update with shots of the flower room.

As you can see they are looking very healthy and are bulking up some. To me, the down shot shows some missed opportunities that some better training and defoliation would have fixed. Next grow!

Jack Herer

Day in flower: 45

This plant still isn't right and never will be. I have to say that the buds are STICKY!

Super Lemon Haze

Day in flower: 54

I think this plant hit the Kind Soil a couple of weeks ago and is just now getting back to a final growth spurt. I say that because all of a sudden most of the pistils turned brown and the growth kind of slowed. These subtle things are really difficult to detect some times and I am no expert but that is my opinion. She is sticky with this most pleasant citrus smell. I am going to LOVE smoking this plant!

Last week I decided to start checking tricomes and was a bit surprised at the wall of cloudy. After heavy inspection she still has time but has been put on daily watch. We are getting close!

Awesome development going on there Thumbless! You must be getting so pumped up being so near to harvesting so many sticky buds! 😊 Sounds like you're learning some good stuff about improving your grows, even with the beauty of what you have now. Glad you're not too damaged from the storms...scary stuff to have to face!
