My first grow will be 3 Amnesia Autos by seedsman. Knowing my personality, I really want to do this right, but with a regular photoperiod, I know I would rush it due to excitement. For that reason, I chose to go with an auto and after having my first harvest, I'll be able to take my time with photoperiods afterwards. With the huge world this is, I’ve done a ton of research, and concluded there’s not way for me to make truly informed decisions with the hundreds of different routes to go of how to grow. Ultimately, I chose to imitate a repeatable method from a grower that I follow. My grow medium is Coco Loco, Earth Dust 3-1-2, and CalMag. I plan on being a little light with the earth dust so I can test the tpm early on and make sure it’s not too much nutrients for the young plant. Primarily, I understand that with organic slow release fertilizer, if plants show signs of a lack of food, the slow release will not act fast enough. I understand that teas are a good solution, but what are other good solutions for a quick turn around. I do plan on adding organic worm casts with the limited feedings there will be. after being about $1K into equipment, idk if I’m about to invest into everything for making teas. Also, I would just love any other feedback on what I’ve went over so far about my first grow.

Welcome to GWE and the forum! You have started on an exiting journey with your research and preparation. That's a great way to start. Prepare yourself to be as involved with your plants as time allows you. Careful observation and quick reaction to issues is critical to a successful grow. I have not grown autos so I will leave that to another to advise but I can say that control of the environment will take an investment in time you must prepare for and dedicate yourself to. Light control, nutes and water amounts, temp, humidity, pH control and many other factors will require constant focus. pH control is a big factor in coco so check and maintain it in the 5.5 to 6 range and it's best to let it drift slightly within those parameters. Nutrient uptake is directly controlled by pH and since coco is inert, you must direct it. Seedlings especially will react to and sicken within a day due to an imbalance. Keep reading, observe and react with questions first if you don't understand.
