First grow....Male or female??

G’day everyone,

I have recently started my first grow! I have been using this site as a go to. I think so far I’ve done ok. Although, now I’m struggling to tell if my plants are male or female?

i’m growing in a small tent with an LED light and using the organic super soil that I found on this site for the medium.

i have 3 plants and I have topped plant 1 and FIM’ed plants 2 & 3.

i changed my light schedule from 18-6 to 12-12 a week ago as this is only for my personal use and don’t need massive yields.

here is a like for some photos of what I think are the pre-flowers or pollen sacks but I am unsure as to which they are?!

Thanks I’m advance for your help!

Unfortunately i cant see in those pics. I recommend getting a close up of a node of both plants as that would make it easier. Plus natural or white lighting helps as sometimes shadows make things difficult as well.

So these are males then?

Your plants are too young to tell yet. Give it another week. I've had plants that look female with the odd hair that are males when they flower. It's hard to know forsure till you let it start flower. Unless there feminized seeds that is.

I am going to say female, although as previously stated it's too early to really tell. I see single balls not clusters which is usually a good sign of a female. Most will show signs before flower, they just have to get to the right maturity first. The little balls you took pictures of, keep your eye on the ones closer to the top because that's where the pistils will start appearing first. You may barely see them when they first appear but within a few days they'll be very noticeable. Hope that helps

thanks for the feedback and help everyone!

I thought as such it might be a bit early to tell, but I wasn’t sure if you should be able to tell by now as I was confused when I’ve read that you might be able to tell by 3 weeks but wasn’t sure if that was from seedling or from the changing of light.

Here are some more photos with better light if anyone was interested.

thanks again!

I'd give it another couple of days to know for sure. Here are some photos from my last grow of what you're looking for:

thanks i can see that much better. i know for my eyes the natural light helps. It does look a little early to tell but it seems female as i see an oval-ish sack not a round sack (think balls vs baguettes) If those little baguettes turn round then they are probably pollen sacks but if a pistol or hair starts growing out of it then it is def a female.

Here's some pics of males and females that showed their sex after 2 days of lighting 6 and off 18 due to timer problem. My problem setting timer too stoned.
