HYDRO First grow, first grow journal (bubbleponics)

This was farther along, but fixed with CAL Mag, I think you are having the same issue. Of course the leaf did not come back, the problem did not surface in newer growth.

So, it looks like so far the CALiMAGic isn't helping, it's still spreading. I'm wondering if it's a bit of nutrient burn, so I've replaced the water with 3/4 of the nutrients (halfway between the seedling amount and the vegetative amount) and a bit more CALiMAGic. It looks like the new nodes were about ready for training, but I guess I was a little aggressive.

I would let that plant get healthy before doing anymore it's gonna shock it and stunt it that's what i'd do if she were mine. She's getting fussy about all the cutting looks like to me.

Curious what your water temperature is. I try to keep mine in high 60's, low 70's. Run into problems if the water gets much warmer than 75f

She's getting worse, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. One of the higher up fan leaves suddenly turned very yellow and is crispy on the yellow part. I've been keeping the water between 66 and 72 for the past few days with a frozen water bottle or two every few hours. I don’t think it’s root rot, yeah the roots are a little brown but that’s from the root nutrients. Adding an imgur album this time, much easier that way.

It's been a while since I last posted. She stopped getting worse, so it may have been a combination of needing CaliMag, stress, water temperature and light burn. The two branches had grown to 6 nodes, so I trimmed her down to only the third pairs on Friday. So far so good, I just wish I'd realized that I had been following the old mainlining tutorial instead of the newer manifolding tutorial 😅. It'll cost me a couple weeks based on how long these branches took. New pictures post-trimming attached.

Time for a Sunday update! It's been a bit over a week since I trimmed he and she's growing fast! Not much else to this update, since she's growing quick and healthily. As always, photos attached.

Another Sunday, another Sunday update. She's still growing well, the really old leaves are starting to show some spotting so I've increased the CALiMAGic a little bit. I also realized I accidentally bought the hard water variety of Flora Micro which is probably contributing. I'm going to keep this update short, as I'll be doing the last topping in a day or two, the third node on the current branches isn't quite as developed as I would like so I'm going to give her some more time. As always, photos attached, and I'll update again in once I've topped to start the final branches.

I clipped her late Monday night, and took these photos this afternoon after letting her recover a little bit. I unfortunately lost a cola when I was trying to do some light training, it just pulled off 😔. Going to wait a bit longer to go back to LST.

A bit of a late update, I took photos Sunday but forgot to post them. I've taken new photos, she's growing nicely from what I can tell. I'm planning on letting her grow a few inches taller, as well as train her to spread out a bit further. If you notice anything in the photos below, let me know!

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've kinda been letting her just take her time growing. Initially I was thinking of letting her grow a few inches taller, but I realized that if she gets too much taller then she may end up too close to the light after the flowering stretch. I've attached photos, and as you can see in the last one, I can only raise the light a few inches higher without changing how it's attached completely.

Thoughts on how much longer I should wait until I switch her to flower and/or ideas on being able to raise the light higher?

Good evening my readers, I apologize for the delay, it has been almost three weeks since my last update. I kept meaning to post, but each time I didn't have my phone with me at the time, and lost track of time, especially with the (sometimes) nice weather. Speaking of the nicer weather, I had to get a dehumidifier for my tent to keep it under 50% RH.

In the time since I last posted, she's definitely switched to flowering. Not as much stretch (at least, vertically) as I expected but she's grown super bushy, to the point where I don't know how much I can safely trim off, especially since she's approaching 3 weeks since switching to flower. She's definitely showing mini bud sites, so I know I need to finish my last trim in the next few days.

As always, photos attached!

It’s been another couple of weeks, and the trichomes are starting to show. There’s a bit of nute burn going, so the next top up I’ll just put in some PH’d water. Even though I’m approaching week 6, I still had to do quite a bit of defoliation. It probably needs a bit more, but I was focusing more on the lower leaves with accessible stems. I’ll probably do a bit of trimming tomorrow on the upper canopy. As always, photos below.

I just realized it’s been a month since my last update. Flowering continues to go, and I’m not exactly sure when it’s going to finish. The trichomes are still clear, so at least a couple weeks more to go, since I’m planning to harvest when the trichomes are half amber. Definitely dealing with some kind of nute or light burn issue, but it’s slow enough that she should make it to harvest.

As always, photos attached.

Posting another update, this time with trichome pictures! I’m still having nutrient issues, but the trichomes are starting to switch so I reduced down to 1/2 tsp/gal FloraMicro, 1 tsp/gal FloraBloom, 1/2 tsp/gal CaliMagic, 2 ml/gal HydroGuard, 1 ml/gallon Mr Fulvic, Ph’d to 5.8-6. I’ve posted a help topic for the leaf issues, since it’s starting to affect the sugar leaves. Photos attached as always.
