HYDRO First grow, first grow journal (bubbleponics)

here Is a screenshot of what I am using called “WATCHMAN’. It was about $40 on Amazon. In the last two years it has been good and you can define the parameters for notifications and emergency notices via email alerts it texts ... the people thing I don’t use but it is a total of many phones or devices attach to the WiFi. The argument being if you rented your house to 4 people and 16 people are logged into your WiFi you can assume something is screwy. Like a vacation bungalow or? PARTY?

It's time for my Sunday update! She's definitely starting to grow fast now, and looking pretty good. Another week or two and it'll be time for the first topping for mainlining. I've bumped the nutrients up to the vegetative level, going to keep an eye on it for a few days for signs of nute burn. Also, the roots are finally showing through the pebbles and making it into the water (and getting good photos of the roots is hard)

Flying dutchpaddy those are air hoses.. the amount of light they allow in is very little.. but they are much easier to find then black ones

That’s both air line and the top feed hose. I’ve replaced the air hose with a black hose, but swapping the top feed will be a little trickier without disturbing the roots

I decided to swap the water a bit early, some of the old fan leaves are starting to show some spotting. I'm using the same amount of nute, 2.5ml per gallon of the GH trio, with 2ml per gallon of hydroguard, some BioRoot and Mr Fulvic as well, PH to 6.0-6.1. I checked the PH of the previous grow water and it read at 5.6-5.7, which is lower than I like it. Photos of the spots and roots attached.

Are you using CAL MAG? I had a similar issue and that was the fix. Since I was using the ferts at 1/3 strength I also used cALMAG at 1/3, big mistake.

I tried using my digital microscope to get a closer look and try to look for bugs, but didn’t spot any. It’s really difficult to use with the magnification level and my hands being naturally shaky, but I got a couple shots.

i was looking at the pics earlier... was undecided if calcium was a bit low...

if not using CalMag now, I'd suggest adding some in.

keep an eye on the NPK of CalMag you'll use.. some have 4-0-0 which is 4% extra nitrogen...

pH of 5.6-5.7 is fine still.....

The spotting appears to be getting worse, but is mostly contained to two of the older fan leaves. I picked up some GH CALiMAGic and added a little over a teaspoon (around a half dosage for veg). New photos attached.
