This is one of the best things about this forum I think you get to see some people’s genuine first attempt at something and sometimes share your own this is my first ever attempt at fiming i want opinions so I can know whether to remove more growth or if I took too much maybe going and doing a true top

Yuuup! I topped mine first but will be fimming next. Topping will give you more symmetrical growth, while FIM is kinda random, offset, etc. Wanted a strong "natural" base. If that's your first time, you're going to be surprised what comes out. FIM'd my Bubba Kush last year and she had like 6 tops come out of the FIM, mostly all on one side. ;)

That’s why I actually chose FIM this time I love surprises and uniqueness this combines both and it’ll add some fun to pruning I think I topped last year and my plants were annoyingly symmetrical normally I’m a fan of this but idk the plants looked boring to me or something

I just watched a video. I FIMMED my first Mag plant but I did it too early, the epitome of FIM. I was going by memory from a Rosenthal book I read 40 years ago.
