Finding Seeds: Stress or pollination?

I have been finding a lot of seeds in my previous crops. I thought it was stress related but now I am not sure. It is an outdoor grow in a pretty dense area but I would be surprised if anyone was growing males close by. Is there a way to tell whether it was stress that caused my plants to develop seeds or if it was in fact pollinated?

I have read pollen can travel in the wind for 2000 miles. Do you know the folks near you? Any one else grow? Wooded area where it may grow wild? IF you are near me I have a BB3 male now,,,

I'd say that your seeds were from hermied plants, to start with. Not by pollination, but who knows Whats growing close by?

Like in Kansas one could be near a wild hemp field. Or a few miles south of me there is a wild field (about 10 miles long along a creek), if I could walk that far into the woods I would get some for the seed!

They got that wild stuff in Missouri too, ragweed we used to call it.
Reckon where the op got his seeds from, bag seeds? That should answer alot.
Pollination can travel along ways, for sure.

If he's using QuietlyBinary, seeds, I've read about other folks getting seeds from them too, I've never used them before, I almost bought some from OregonEliteSeeds, but never did.

Me, Myself and I have been tossing this around, for us we agree that pollination is pollination no mater if the pollen came from a hermie (created or natural) or a true male. Now the seed from a hermie plant that pollinated its self could pass on bad genetics. I recently did some bag seed from CA, I would say it is completely self pollinating as every plant hermied. BTW I am destroying those seed. And yes they would be female seed, but if they all hermie whats the point?

Just saying start with good seeds, and you'll solve that problem, most of the time, but you'll still get a hermie every now an then, I know I have anyways, over the years of outdoor grows here in Ms.

Thanks for the suggestion. The seeds were all from Mephisto. It is in an urban area so there it is just urban gardens in the area.
