Feminized seeds

I read your article on creating feminized seeds and was confused by the fact that if you induce the female plant chemically to grow male calyxes for pollen and you also have a hermaphrodite that is doing the exact same thing then what is the difference and why couldn't you rely on the hermaphrodite seeds to also be female in nature?

I thought that all the seeds you get from a female that hermied will be female. Now having said that they may carry the gene that tends to make that strain prone to hermie.

Environment, genotype, phenotyp, et all... too many variable for a solid answer. If you do a real experiment you could earn a PhD or a masters with this question.

So, I currently have 2 plants going into flower next week - that were from a plant that hermied, at another grower's room- which were all female plants.
They have not showed sex, yet but suspect female plants which look healthy.

The original grower got into high temperatures (95f) which was not corrected at the very end of the harvest window and lost 3 plants over 2 weeks to seeds.

Is it reasonable to assume that, if the strain is prone to hermies under high temperatures for extended duration- it may do fine in a controlled room environment?

Yes, it seems possible it might not hermie in a better environment, but it might do it even if you do keep things at a good temperature. If you had other female plants in there I definitely wouldn't risk it, but since these two plants are all you got it can't hurt to see what happens! Even if you get a few seeds it will still be good bud

What Nebula said. I pitched an entire plant because it was riddled with seeds, but still had nice buds and trichs. I should have hung to dry with others and used it make hash or oil.
