Female or male? First time growing

Those little white hairs (pistils) is telling you that she is ready to produce. I am assuming it is not an auto, so if you are happy with the size of plant and have several good cola sites, like the one in the picture, switch her to the 12/12 light cycle and it won't take long until you start to see more and more of those tiny little budlets.

just be cautious of one main cola growing much taller than the rest. It will decrease your overall yield. Can you show us a picture of the entire plant? That would be helpful.

Im not sure what your talking about with "cola". Ive grown it outside but bring it in when it goes dark. I read somewhere that putting it on 12 to 12 from seed helps it bud faster? So thats what i did. And what did u mean by "an auto"?

I hope you don't need a bigger pot. Since you're flowering you may be ok. Are you depending on the sun as your light source?

Yeah i was thinking about getting a bigger pot. That was my next question! And yes sunlight as my light source. We are getting plenty of that at the moment!

She's going to probably need at least 8 weeks to flower and ripen. Hope it's warm there for the next couple of months. Look into cfl bulbs if you need to move her inside. She may get smelly soon too. Be prepared!

Yes its going to be very warm here for the next couple of months. I will look into those blubs. Is there anyway to control the smell or cover it?

Not much you can do about the smell outdoors. Inside you can use activated charcoal to "scrub" the air. It can be expensive to do this. Since she's a little thing, I wouldn't worry too much but I don't know your situation.

Im not too worried about the smell unless it gets really bad. But ill have to come up with something if that happens. Should it be in full sun for 12 hours or can it be in the shade?

Cannabis is a light loving plant. The more light it gets the better. It is the most important factor when it comes to yields assuming environment is ideal. When your plant goes into flower it's critical it gets at least 12 hours of darkness or you will confuse the plant into thinking it's still summertime and revert back to vegetative growth.

An 'auto' is a plant that does not need the 12/12 light/dark cycle to flower. It has its own veg / bloom cycle no matter how many hours of dark and light, but it prefers more light hours A cola is any side growth that will produce a flower. Your plant seems tall and slender. I would suggest cutting her back a few nodes and letting her get bushy, develop more side branches, then switch her to bloom cycle. You will get a bigger harvest that way.

She does seem very healthy though. I fear you may not have enough soil in that pot, it's only half full. If you let her the way she is now, you will get one main big flower and maybe a few smaller ones. Since this is your first grow, maybe you should just let her do her own thing without interference.

Here is picture of a flowering plant that was never topped or trimmed but so it could get bushy. Its one of my recently harvest plants.One big main cola and lots of little ones at the bottom. This is okay, we still got a harvest from it.
