SOIL Fat Banana Grow Diary/ Viparspectra R900 VS. Lumatek Attis 300W

Keep up the thoughts on the light please. I'm as interested in the Attis light insight as I am in the plants this time. I've got some Fat Banana Autos in the mail somewhere and will probably run 'em sometime in the next 6 months.

Yea of course ! The buds will tell in 8 weeks aproxima.
Until now I’m pretty happy for the lamp 👍🏻

Just harvested 10 fat banana autos throughout this summer. Loved the smoke 👍🏻

Week 4 after 12/12
week 3 in bloom !

So they are growing nicely, can’t complain. Not much to say either.
The buds are growing and getting bigger.
Cal mag water on watering feedings. Aprox. 15 ML in 6 Liter.
the other days they are getting 5-6ML CANNA in a 6 Liter bottle. And every plant receive 2,0-2,3 Liter of water in both feedings.

and some pictures of course !
happy growing Capt.

They're looking good. I'm on week 5 of veg on my fat bananas but they're less than 7" tall but fairly bushy and I was planning on flipping them in a weeks time. Did yours stay fairly squat but wide? And how much have they stretched since start of flower?

Thank you
I dont know how High 7” is. Sorry.. I use metric system.
fairly squat but wide ? What does that mean ?😅😅.
They stretched a bit, how much I can’t tell you, because I’m not measuring the height or measure how wide my plants are.
The shape of the plants and the SOG I made is because of the mainline. I didn’t do a mainline because I was worry of the height or something in the tent. I made it so it was easier to control the SOG method
I think the height is about 60-70 CM - one is maybe 80CM.

Thanks for your reply.
7 inches is roughly 18cm but it is double that in width, short but wide (kind of what I meant by squat and wide). My node spacing is quite tight which is making my plant kind of bushy and dense.
Height was one of my concerns as the info says they can grow between 100 - 140cm, if they reached 140 (unlikely for me this time round) I might be in trouble as that would leave me 45 cm from top of tent and as my lights have fans on top I'm unsure how close to top I can put it without killing my light.
I've subbed this post and I look forward to your updates.

Do you use any kind of training technique? Or do you just let them grow ?
As for the estimated height- it never fits. I never look at the breeders info about height and such stuff. Because it all depends on how long you beg the plants. What type of growing medium and environment you are using.

I've topped them once at around the 6th node i think and done a little bit of light lst. Had a couple of issues in the first couple of weeks, high temps in a cupboard, light dropping on plant etc so i pretty sure it's a little stunted even though they appeared to be growing well and iv'e not had any signs of deficiencies This is my first grow so i'm learning as i go. Reading this forum and this site in general has almost become a hobby in itself. I have 3 Fb seeds left so they will be my next grow just trying to dial everything in on this one now.

It’s pretty normal to have some issues long the way in the first grow. Keep up the research and listen to the mistakes. Then it will go pretty fast forward every grow

Week 4 of bloom tomorrow!

it’s going great ! Actually too great in my opinion 😂
so I did a control check on every plant. And I cut back the CANNA PK for 2 feedings now. They don’t need all the nutrients, so incredible stupid just to load them with nutrients...
And they are growing so fast, buds are starting to fatten up. Love it.

any questions? Just ask ! Thank you for following!

As for the two lights ! The lumatek is doing a great job in the start of the flower phase. The Vipar started out good, with bigger buds. But now it’s even size almost all round the 9 plants.
Will be so fucking fun too see which lamps produce the best looking buds !

happy growing Capt !

Haha, it will be come your new thing. My one has grown 2 inches in the last week and now stands at 9 inches lol.

Week 5 of bloom!
well I was expecting to be done in week 7, it when I look at my plants - that’s not going to happen. I have at least 3-4 weeks left, which is a shitty thing. But you can’t rush nature right ?

plant’s are doing fine, some having some minor issues with wind burn, and a little too much P&K - nothing to much so I’m not flushing, they just get some plain PH water with some run off. No need to flush.

Buds starting to smell pungent, earthy and pine.
This is just a waiting game from now on, nothing much I can do beside letting them grow.

Many thanks !
Still not sure if doing a main line is worth it..
those extra weeks in veg, and already now I don’t think I’m getting the yield I want.

I got 220 g for a 13 weeks grow on 5 plants under the viparspectra, with just a normal topping, and LST combined with lollipop and defoliation. So if it’s under or close to 220 gram now on this grow. I’m tossing the main line method. And doing what I’m been doing before. And saving me these extra worthless weeks next time.

Totally time for grow is 18 weeks maybe. And this is too much just because of a mainline.
And honestly I don’t think I’m yielding so much again.
Just waste of time and waste of money on the power bill.

Hard to know what’s going to work for you until you try it.
I wanted to try a mainline or manifold on my vegging girls, then chickened out and just topped and LST instead. Maybe next time 😂

Of course it’s hard to know before you try it.
But I’m thinking never again actually.
Too long time the grow is running, for nothing.
I rather make almost two grows in a row. Than waiting 10 weeks in veg time.
Limited space and height, I maybe understand. But again, longer veg time. More expenses on the power bill. More nutrients is going to be used. Nahh, it’s not my thing. Wish I never did that Fucking main line 😂
