Not a good idea because the air will be stagnant and high in humidity, both are the perfect ingredients for mold issues.
You can always look for a fan with a circuit breaker or some sort of child-proof mechanism to prevent fire. Running electronics 24 hours is just part of the equation when growing, spend your money wisely and buy quality equipment with a long track record of consumer safety if this is a top priority for you.

Sounds like a very bad idea not to have fans on. You're right. I'm pretty sure this house is wired with circuit breakers. I have had power cut on appliances in the past and have had to flip the switch in power box. Anyway I'll just make sure fans are clean and free from dust regularly.

If you are using a power strip, many of them come with surge protection. If you are running an HID lighting system, you will want that feature.

during lights off and when I'm not home, I have deciced to keep carbon filter running from inside tent and just run some tubing from outside in to take in fresh air. I tested this earlier. When tent is closed up it pulls in air from outside adequately. It means I only need one fan ( on carbon filter) running. It should suffice enough to prevent stagnant air and high humidity. How does this sound? And I will run it on a power strip, I have a spare one somewhere.

You'll really want to be venting out to bring in the fresh air, in that scenario you are just scrubbing the air but putting it right back into the tent. The leaves will transpire and release moisture in the air, the more crowded the tent and larger the plants, the more you are going to have to contend with humidity in there.
I understand what you are saying. The room I have tent in is pretty well ventilated. The door is open at all times. As it's summer here, I have front & back doors open all day ( even when I'm not at home ) and the window in tent room is only closed when I'm not there. Fresh air from outside is pretty much circulating throughout the house all day.

when my lights are off, Ive always had my tent/clip fans off? never a mold issue. but I have my exhaust fan plugged into an inkbird humidity controller at all times

There are definitely many good ways to accomplish the same goal when it comes to cannabis. You will be the best judge for your particular situation.
