F!@# LEDs

Im just saying.. but dont get me wrong, i know there are good LED grow lights that can produce some serious yeilds. But, there are just TOO MANY variables when it comes to light intensity and wattage which makes buying an LED that isnt reputable a NO NO. Im speaking from first hand experience. I bought a "600w" led grow light and it might be a good light, for flowering. But for seedling and/or veg, i wouldnt recommend it. Im not even sure of the true watts but i would assume somewhere around 100w. Which you wouldn't think would be too much for a seedling right? Wrong, my seedlings are so bleached and light stressed it's ridiculous. But i guess its just those LEDs and maybe the magnifiers. Either way, what i came here to say is i ditched the LED and went back to Ol faithful 400w MH/HPS. Now, ive only grown with 150w HPS before but other than the wattage, its the same basics. Right? Which i KNOW work. So itll be here friday and I'm going to start my New420guys grow which will include 2x Blue Widow and 2x GSC. Now ill be running the light in my new tent which is 2x2x4. Is this tent too small for a 400w? If so should i op for a 250w? Id really hate that because im looking for heavy yields specifically and i know more watts means more buds(to an extent). So i really want the 400w. Any input would be appreciated and ive listed the specs below. Thanks!

Very interesting I start my seeds on 1 or 2 cfl depending on how many seeds. After they poke through its all led from there was your light full spectrum???. I'm using full spectrum veg to flower leds. Grow #4 going atm with them no diodes gone no issues. They veg plants geat and flower them even better.

I bought 2 extra lights also because they were on sale lol. I also have a 400 watt hps/mh which is great if I was growing in s open room. The temps drove me nuts along with a a.c unit running with fans and vents etc.. I might have gotten lucky with my lights not sure

Dang man. Yeah you must have lol. Because i saw your grow and they look great. But yeah, it was full spectrum. Supposedly. Hell idk. I just cant get over how they can claim 600w but you've only got 100w +- to grow with. I mean it is super bright but its just not working for my seedlings. I might keep it and try it on some older plants but idk. Like i said, i know mh/hps works. And id rather hassle with a fan or two and have weed than not being hassle free but no weed. Lol so i guess its a go then.

I have two 600 watt Viparspectras, and use them for supplementary lighting with my 600 watt HPS for flowering. They are actually consuming 260 watts apiece. Which brand of LED did you buy?

I usually veg with my T5s, but bought a 315 CMH a couple of months ago which I will be trying out on some autos when I get the seeds.

You have a dimmable HPS/ MH so you can turn it down if you have a heat problem don'tchathink?

Your seedlings are looking OK to me,but you could have backed the LEDs off a bit. You might check this out. https://www.growweedeasy.com/led-gro...-cannabis-buds

Idk it was some off brand. iGrow or some shit. Its seems legit. But again maybe not for seedlings. And yes its dimmable. So no im not tok worried about heat. Also, the photo of the seedlings is from a few days ago and the light is at like 24"+- so idk. Theyre just super yellow. This was a test for a reason!

Crazy 89 this is why I love this site all growers have diff results with all kinds of setups. How's those great nugs u have drying. Bet they are stinky and sticky

Yeah i know it! So im probably just going to adjust accordingly around my new 400w. But she's just doing her thing. And yes super dank nastiness lol i wish i could have yielded more..oh well..excited to try this Blue Widow out.
